Getting tickets to Hirayu no Mori onsen was amazing. The staff was very nice and kindly let us sit in the common area until check in. They also held luggage for us, which I appreciate very much. The onsen itself in the hotel was also very great. The rooms were spacious and comfortable.

Situated in a tranquil area in Gifu Region, a 52-minute drive away from JR Takayama Station, Mozumo boasts a hot-spring bath and rooms decorated with modern Japanese interior. Absolutely LOVED our time at Mozumo. The facilities are beautiful and the staff was incredible. The level of hospitality we received was on another level. The private onsen was also a highlight of our stay. We enjoyed our dinner and breakfast experience so much, the lady who served us was knowledgeable about every dish and answered all our questions, she was so warm and lovely (I wish we had caught her name!) Would recommend 100% for anyone looking for a unique ryokan experience in a beautiful environment.

Nestled in the tranquil Hida Mountains, Miyama Ouan Kyoritsu Resort offers traditional accommodation featuring hot spring baths and nature views. We have traveled hundreds of hotels as a family. This resort was the best of them all. The staff attention to details and hospitality was spectacular. The evening meal and breakfast was really tasty and inspiring. They made sure that our stay will be as perfect and welcoming since the moment we got there until the moment they drove us to the bus. It felt like they see all our needs and care about every detail. My wife has the best birthday, they made sure that she will be happy and joy with so much grace. Thank you so much and Best wishes. Rony

There was a lot to like about Oyado Eitaro. The location is very convenient - only a five (maybe less) minute walk from the bus center. We dropped off our luggage before checking in and later found the bags in our room. The dinner was a wonderful experience and was probably some of the best food we had on our trip. It was a great way to try many different dishes, all of them well prepared. Breakfast was a similar experience. Both the public and private onsens were very relaxing and very clean. Overall an amazing experience. If we ever come back to the area, we’ll be looking to rebook Oyado Eitaro.

For a reasonable and additional charge, the dinner and the breakfast were amazing. One of us was a first time traveller to Japan and the other had previously lived in Japan; both of us thought the meals were interesting, beautiful and presented with care. The room had a great view of the surroundings and nature (covered in snow when we were there) and the amenities were well-functioning and comfortable. The layout of the room (with toilet and sink separated from main room by sliding door) was also pleasing. There are 4 onsens: 2 on the men side and 2 on the women side. There is a 4th private outdoor onsen. We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel with good onsen in Okuhida area (one of the oldest in the area). Staff very very helpful and nice. We had shifts that were speaking good English. We stayed on second floor in main building, so everything was close (relevant for people with mobility issues). The free ramen was great!!! Tasty breakfast with lots of choices. Unlike some reviews they were replenishing everything all the time until the very end. Amasing views from the rooms and from the baths.
