It was in a good location, and the Metro was just a few minutes walk away. 2. There was a FamilyMart nearby - really helpful for getting food. 3. The room was a decent size, and had a better layout than the APA Hotel I stayed in in Tokyo. I didn't have to keep putting my luggage under the bed so as to be able to walk around in the room. 4. It had an onsen (although an artificial one), and I went there every evening after coming back to the hotel. 5. There was a microwave oven and an ice dispenser on the 2nd floor. 6. I would stay there again if I'm ever in Osaka again.

Located right in front of Osaka Castle, Hotel New Otani offers spacious rooms and 13 dining options. The property is a 5-minute walk from shopping complex JO-TERRACE OSAKA. Great location: You can get the train from KIX airport to the hotel. It's a 5 minute walk from the Osakajokoen train station on the loop line and it's easy to get to even with a big suitcase (Tip: Buy a prepaid Icoca train card which makes it much easier to travel by train) Fabulous breakfast: Book breakfast. It's an absolute treat! Both Japanese and Western breakfasts and caters for all diets and all tastes. Bar with a view: Spend an hour or so in the sky bar on the 18th floor. It's not cheap but it won't break the bank and the view is stunning. Room itself: Very comfortable mattress. Air conditioning. Large rooms. No UK or European TV channels. Only CNN. Large bathroom. Shower in bath tub so no extra shower. Pyjamas provided. But take an adapter as there is not one in room for mobile phones, electric toothbrush etc. Tea and coffee making facilities in room. Hotel: 6 elevators. Patisserie and Café in the spacious lobby. Fitness centre with 20m pool BUT not included in room rate. Approx 25 EUR for a day pass. Quick tip: Get an eSim for Japan before you leave. Absolutely priceless. I purchased one from Nomad but there are also other providers. (I was using about 0.5 GB a day with Google maps as a guideline)

I chose this hotel because it is so close to the subway, and from there I could visit any attractions that I wanted. The room I received was spacious by Japanese standards. Everything was in order and within expectations. I would recommend this place to anyone. I had a medical emergency at the time, but the staff was extremely helpful, they helped me contact my insurance company, quickly found a doctor who could speak English in a local hospital, and called an ambulance for me. I believe it made such a difference and because of this, I am forever grateful to the staff members!

I made a last minute reservation due to a problem with another reservation, the staff and hotel were amazing. The same “group” owns several hotels in the area, it’s a love hotel, but an amazing value. If you stay for a full day, you get breakfast, 1 drink and 1 food item off the menu every day you stay. I would come here again.

Sakura Garden Hotel is situated in Osaka, 1.6 km from Osaka Castle. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Most luxurious room of our entire trip, despite being budget friendly and one of the cheaper places we stayed at. A very nice surprise! Super friendly staff as well. Although they didnt speak much english, they did their utmost to help us. all necessary info was available on paper in english
