Although there was no restaurant onsite we were able to find food within a five minute walk for both dinner and breakfast.

The view was incredible & the little store in the bottom is a great addition not to mention the really big tv. The balcony as well is wonderful & equipped with comfortable furniture.

Leo is such a nice and kind host. The place is very clean and calm during the day and at night near two beautiful shrines and the main streets with shops and restaurants. Leo could give you best advices to explore around. His English is really good so it’s very convenient if you don’t speak Japanese or just a little bit. As it is a old house, the soundproofing is poor but if you have respectful neighbours guests everything will be fine. Thanks a lot Leo for this beautiful stay and your help!

Помешкання 島宿Nest оптимально розміщено в районі Ikuchi Island міста Ономіті. A perfect stopover on the Shimanani Kaido bike trail from Onomichi to Ehime. Warm welcome from Rin who spoke great English and outstanding facilities- a modern but traditional Japanese guest house for all ages. Tatami and futon with kitchen facilities and an outdoor garden area for a beer. Drinks available, great views and easy access to toilets and washroom. Close to a family run eatery with amazing okonomiyaki and lemon goods all over the place. Right on the port if you decide to catch a ferry back to Onomichi or great spot to keep riding to the next island. Loved this little place and would definitely recommend.

We had a very warm welcome at this traditional ryokan and felt very well cared for. The rooms were very large and comfortable and the best bit was the sea view through our wooden slatted window in the lounge area at the front. The on-site onsen is reached through their amazing courtyard garden. The food was amazing and we treated ourselves to dinner which was superb. The staff were super friendly and we communicated via a translation app. Excellent stay - lots to see and Setoda feels quite lively. Would recommend hiring a bike from the tourist information centre in town.
