Situated in Morioka, 14 km from Morioka Station, Shikitei Morioka TsunagiOnsen offers accommodation with a hot spring bath, a public bath and an open-air bath. The service offered by the staff at Shikitei was incredible - and simply has to be experienced. This hotel is a short drive out of Morioka, and we highly recommend an afternoon trip to Lake Tazawa. On your return, you can enjoy the wonderful indoor or outdoor onsen. Plenty of information is provided, so don't worry if you have not used an onsen before. While the hotel is not new, it is kept very clean and has a charming style. The breakfast is an experience worth traveling for in itself, with many different dishes served and a card explaining the local origin of many of the ingredients. The Japanese style room was very comfortable and a highlight of our trip.

Hotel Shion has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Morioka, 13 km from Morioka Station. The view and the room were amazing. The staff very kind, friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast was delicious.
