Situated in Minamioguni, 32 km from Mount Aso, Senomoto Kogen Hotel features accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. The view from the hotel is breathtaking, gorgeous and in the middle of nature. The room was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. We liked the buffet both for breakfast and dinner, there is plenty of choice.

Situated along Tanohara River and surrounded by tranquil nature in Kurokawa Onsen hot spring area, Oku no Yu Ryokan offers charming Japanese-style accommodation and various hot spring baths. We love this ryokan so much we didn't want to leave! The room is spacious and beautiful especially with the river view from the outdoor bath terrace. Staff is very friendly and the food is delicious! The compound of the ryokan is serene and beautiful surrounded by autumn foliage, we would like to come back again!

Inn NOSHIYU provides a hot tub, as well as accommodation with a kitchenette in Minamioguni, 48 km from Kinrinko Lake. The 3-star bed and breakfast is 9.3 km from Hacchobaru Power Station Museum. The hotel felt very warm and the onsens are completely amazing! The rooms are big and the bed was very comfortable. At night, most of the stores and restaurants are closed or fully booked so make sure to reserve a sit in advance. The area in the morning is wonderful and was not crowded at all. We really enjoyed it and we would be glad to visit again in the future.

Built in 1722, Okyakuya is situated in the historical district of Kurokawa Onsen district. Located only 100 metres from Kurokawa Onsen, Free WiFi is provided and private parking is available on site. The staff were very nice and accommodating. The meals were very nice as well.

Kurokawa Onsen Yama no Yado Shinmeikan features 5 hot-spring baths, including a 30-metre long cave bath. Shinmeikan is a truly amazing ryokan/ onsen. The whole building just oozes authenticity. Great tatami style rooms overlooking the river, super friendly staff who will help you with all your needs. Great onsen baths, especially the cave bad is spectacular. Dinner and breakfast are equally high quality and display a variety of Japanese cuisine. Absolute perfect place if you want to experience traditional Japanese onsen style ryokan.

The staff are very kind and hospitable. The meals are delicious! I think I got a great value for my stay and will recommend Wakaba for future trips!
