Hotel was 1 block away from subway exit. Very convenient. Room no 205 was a good size one. I was expecting small room based on what I read about Japan. It had a sizable table with chair. One double bed and one single bed. Separate toilet, bath room, kitchenette with cooking facilities etc. It it much better than the place I stayed in Osaka, though Osaka place was expensive to this. There were few shops around walking distance for lunch and dinner. Lawson shop was next to subway exit. I would recommend this to anyone.

Featuring free WiFi, Kyoto Yamashina Hotel Sanraku is set in Kyoto. The property is around 2.9 km from Kiyomizu-dera Temple, 3.2 km from Eikan-do Zenrin-ji and 4.2 km from Heian Shrine. Very close to the train station and a local mall. The hotel was also very quiet. We arrived before check-in but the staff held our bags and then put them in the room before we came back to the hotel. Amenities in the room were very nice too.

The Japanese house setting with neat and clean rooms. Also the additional manga, books and board games were entertaining too! Everything was well arranged with proper and clear instructions about their operation. The rooms were very spacious too. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and even guided us to the guest house by a phone call.

The garden is old and exquisite, and while the house is traditional and quaint, it has a fully-equipped kitchen, modern toilets and comfortable baths. While it's a bit of a walk up the hill from the Misasagi subway station, the neighborhood is pretty, and there's a canal in a park. There's also a small grocery store right by the subway station, and it offers whatever a traveler might need for a decent meal or a pleasant bath.
