In a prime location in the Sakyo Ward district of Kyoto, Giappo Franca Kyoto is situated less than 1 km from Shoren-in Temple, a 14-minute walk from Heian Shrine and 1.2 km from Gion Shijo Station. The establishment itself had surprised me with its lobby, a comfortable space full of mangas and also a laundry room which was very much needed it was surprisingly good when I first entered the hotel. And the room I reserved was also really neat, with its own mini fridge, kettle and tv, I personally liked that fridge is empty, for the personal use of customer instead of those mini bar fridges that charge you money for even opening it haha. It wasn't like that so I liked it. Room was great, the futon was really comfy, and gave me nostalgia of my childhood. All in all I liked everything about my stay

We love the spaciousness of the room. The garden is beautiful. Staff are friendly and helpful. the hotspiring in the room is definitely a bonus.

What an exceptional experience! From the start of our arrival and till the end of our stay, everyone was friendly and helpful, the vibe is relaxed and everything has been meticulously crafted to create a perfect experience! We initially had some doubts about the location, since it’s a bit further away from Kyoto center, but the train connection was easy and perfect and riding the beautiful local train was a daily treat. Getting to relax every day at such a beautiful location was worth every minute of travel! The first night we received a welcome gift in the form of one of the best sushi we have ever eaten and, since we’re vegetarians, they took that into account and still created something beautiful and delicious. The night before our stay ended we got more sushi as a thank you gift and we couldn’t be happier to eat it again! We booked a spa/sauna and that was, again, such a terrific experience! Having a sauna and two baths for ourselves was so relaxing and fun, time flew by and we wished we could stay for a few more hours. The breakfast every morning was a treat and they didn’t have any problems with our requests to remove any meat or fish. The room was big and comfy, the beds were perfect and the atmosphere was inviting and relaxed, the classic japanese/modern mix really worked, the bathroom was modern, roomy and perfect… I can keep going, the short story is: this is the place to go and experience relaxation and perfection. To everyone at Moksa: arigato gozaimasu!

Hotel Okura Kyoto Okazaki Bettei -Age Requirement 12 over- has a fitness centre, garden, a restaurant and bar in Kyoto. This 5-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk, a concierge service and free... Service, room, Japanese breakfast and dinner were excellent. My wife mentioned that it was my birthday and I was left a very sweet message in my room. We purposely chose this location to be away from the more busy areas of Kyoto. Logistically, it worked perfect. There is a grocery store across the street. Taxis were easy and convenient and we were also able to walk to the Philosopher’s Path and other areas easily.

Absolutely wonderful hotel in a quiet part of Kyoto. The room was very clean and staff was helpful. Will stay here every time we visit

Situated within less than 1 km of Heian Shrine and a 14-minute walk of Eikan-do Zenrin-ji Temple, Guest House Nishimura - Vacation STAY 13438 features rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom... Before starting the trip, tadashi-san got really involved with us and helped us with all our questions. He was really kind and helpful. His guesthouse is incredible, an authentic ryokan experience. Please if you are going to stay in Tadashi's guesthouse be polite and kind, he is a really good person and he will help you with everything. His wife Yuki-san is also lovely!

Set within less than 1 km of Heian Shrine and a 14-minute walk of Eikan-do Zenrin-ji Temple, Guest House Nishimura - Vacation STAY 13436 offers rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in... Yuki san and Tadashi san are very accommodating, and super nice. Tadashi san even went to a nearby event at the same time as us and was sweet enough to translate for us when we didn't understand directions. The facilities are very nice and very good value for money. The hosts also have very thorough and in my opinion very good advice for local hikes/attractions and restaurants! And the view of the temple from the western style room is phenomenal.

Featuring 3-star accommodation, Hotel Wing International Premium Kyoto Sanjo is set in Kyoto, 100 metres from Samurai Kembu Kyoto and less than 1 km from Shoren-in Temple. The location was very good. The beds were very big and you have available all the amenities for the stay and all the day available drinks free of charge for the ones from the hotel.

Set in Kyoto, Kyoto Sanjo Ohashi offers 3-star accommodation with private balconies. The location is very close to Keihan Sanjo Station. I traveled from Osaka and was able to access it directly from Yodoyabashi Station without any train transfers. The room is larger than a hotel and has kitchen facilities, so I was able to cook during my stay, saving on accommodation costs. The staff are friendly, and both the staff and facilities are clearly superior to those of a typical Japanese hotel.

Located in Kyoto, 1.6 km from Imperial Palace, Marikoji Inn Kyoto offers accommodation with a garden and a terrace. Location was peaceful and quiet. I had thought it would be a crowded neighborhood, but was pleasantly surprised at how serene and remote it felt. The staff was SUPER friendly and helpful.
