Well set in the Shuzenji Onsen district of Izu, Shuzenji Onsen Katsuragawa is located 600 metres from Shuzen-ji Temple, 15 km from Mount Daruma and 35 km from Koibito Misaki Cape. I was shocked when I arrived this to this hotel, I had no idea it would be so nice and comfortable. Our room was gorgeous, the breakfast and dinner was delicious, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. There was also a huge variety in the baths offered.

Set in Izu and within 200 metres of Shuzen-ji Temple, 泊まれる廃墟 ぐんじょう has a garden, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. The most adorable place right in the middle of the idyllic Izu. Besides aesthetics, the accommodation was comfortable and the owner was always ready to hell. I can't wait to go there again next time!

Japanese-style hotel 湯回廊菊屋 is a 6-minute drive from Shuzenji Station in Izu City. It features indoor and outdoor hot spring baths, as well as a restaurant. Free parking is available. Everything about it, the exceptional staffs, the food, the vibe, the cleanliness and of course the onsen.

Set in Izu, 800 metres from Shuzen-ji Temple, Breezbay Shuzenji Hotel offers accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. The room is big and very clean, the quilt is new, smells good and soft. There is a relaxing room, which contains massage chairs, hanging chairs and foot massage machines. The milk in the vending machine is so fresh and sweet that I drink it many times. Thanks to the wonderful staff, I have a great journey here.

In the Shuzenji Onsen district of Izu, close to Shuzen-ji Temple, Hostel Knot has a shared lounge and a washing machine. Very welcoming staff with good English. The vibe is so relaxing and safe.

Set less than 1 km from Shuzen-ji Temple, Oni no Sumika offers 5-star accommodation in Izu and features a garden. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. Best onsen experience of a life time! We travel quite a bit and this exceeded all expectations. Ask for Yamadasan and/or Kibesan. Rooms are spacious, amenities over and above and the Kaiseki is from local specialities and if I could give this a higher rating I would! Food, Service, Staff, cleanliness all an A

Located just 300 metres from Shuzen-ji Temple, Goyokan offers accommodation in Izu with access to a spa and wellness centre, an open-air bath, as well as a 24-hour front desk. Wonderful staff, so attentive and delightful- the food was wonderful too!

Designed by Shinji Kagawa, the stylish AKARI et KAORI formerly Taizanso is a 10-minute drive from Shuzenji Train Station. The service and food were excellent. Although we didn’t speak much Japanese, we still received the best quality service and accommodation. We’d love to visit again.

Marukyu Ryokan features a sauna and a hot spring bath, as well as air-conditioned accommodation in Izu, 700 metres from Shuzen-ji Temple. This 4-star ryokan offers a 24-hour front desk and a lift. Very comfortable stay in Marukyu Ryokan. Very beautiful ryokan in a quiet town to enjoy our holiday. The food is very yummy that definitely worth a try. The dyson hair dryer at the onsen changing room is definitely a plus haha..

Registered as a cultural property, Arai Ryokan features natural hot-spring baths and traditional Japanese architecture just a 5-minute walk from Shuzenji Temple. Staying in ryukan is a must of my trip to Japan and Arai Ryukan doesn't make me disappointed. Starting from the location of the ryukan which is very easy to reach. You get off to check in and the staff will bring your car to the parking. Checking in is my first impression. The staff is willing to answer your questions and will show you all facilities available. You will have your own personal caregiver. The dinner and breakfast are included in the price and they are very excellent. The onsen both indoor and outdoor are the unforgettable experience.
