Our stay at Puri Andong Villa was nothing short of extraordinary. This spacious Balinese house, located just 15 minutes on foot from the heart of Ubud, is a paradise wrapped in an authentic Balinese mood, making it an ideal oasis of tranquillity and culture. The architecture of the villa beautifully encapsulates traditional Balinese designs. The family temple and the intricate details around the villa exuded a charm that is distinctively Balinese. Our room offered a stunning view from a balcony overlooking a serene pool, which turned out to be the perfect spot for a hearty breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, it was simply delightful. The scrambled eggs, Eggs Benedict, and the variety of exotic fresh fruits were tantalizing to our taste buds. Paired with the rich Balinese coffee, it was a great start to our day, every day. The cleanliness of the villa was impeccable. Every corner, every piece of furniture, every detail was spotless, reflecting the dedication of the staff in maintaining high standards of hygiene. The team at Puri Andong Villa was incredibly friendly and helpful. They were more than happy to share stories about the rituals and history of Bali. Watching them make the offerings and light the fragrant 'dupa' incense in the back garden was a wonderful insight into their culture. Moreover, after cleaning our villa each day, they would leave us a Balinese story, tied up with the three yarns used for the Tridatu bracelet, sparking our anticipation for the next day's tale. The location of Puri Andong Villa is also commendable. It's in close proximity to Ubud center, which offers a plethora of cafes, spas, live music venues, and cultural performances like the ones at Cafe Lotus. Also, the villa is just a stone's throw away from the Campuhan Ridge Walk, where you can watch the sunset paint the sky with an array of colors. For all these reasons and more, we extended our stay to 8 days.

Villa Sabandari omges av risfältens grönska och ligger 10 minuters bilresa från Ubud Palace. Här finns ett spa och en infinitypool med solterrass. De charmiga rummen har egen terrass och gratis WiFi. We stayed at Villa Sabandari two weeks and loved absolutely everything. So much care put into every details. Needless to say it clean, beautiful, well maintained. Location is perfect: close to everything, quiet. Stuff is caring and creates a space to feel good.

Gunung Merta Bungalows ligger 5 minuters bilresa från restauranger och butiker i centrala Ubud. Här erbjuds en utomhuspool och gratis Wi-Fi i alla utrymmen. I enjoyed the serene environment. You step off a busy road into a tranquil oasis. The bungalows are situated at the back of a family compound. We really enjoyed being treated like a guest of the family with all the facilities of a hotel stay. The bungalows overlook a lush green environment.
