This small, family-run metro hotel has easy access by bus to Edinburgh city centre, less than 2 miles away. It offers free on-street parking, free WiFi, en-suite rooms and a bar. This hotel exceeded my expectations. It was beautiful and cosy, and the staff were extremely friendly. It was in a good location with a bus stop around the corner to bring you to the centre in 15 minutes. The owner gave us a map when we arrived with information on how to get around and very helpful tips on places to see. Our room was clean, warm and tastefully decorated. Breakfast each morning was delicious. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, I will definitely be back!

This luxurious 5-star retreat has a fine-dining restaurant and romantic bedrooms about 3 km from the Royal Mile. Prestonfield is surrounded by gardens and a golf course. Excellent service and ultimate luxury close to the heart of the city. The breakfast and high tea were sublime. Staff are extremely helpful and the grounds and rooms are magnificent!

The Scholar is a newly refurbished hotel located in the beautiful grounds of the Pollock Estate, just a few minutes’ walk from Arthurs Seat, Holyrood Park and the Meadows and within walking distance... Nice quiet location, direct public transport to city centre, 2 minutes walking, very good breakfast. I went there with my wife who was celebrating her 50th birthday. The girl at the reception caught this and the next day we found a sweet gift accompanied by a card.

The staff was very warm and welcoming and they were all very helpful. Wahi is a pleasant girl and was very happily servingall the guests understandingeveryone'sneeds. Had a lovely interaction with her at breakfast

Just 0.5 miles from Edinburgh Waverley Rail Station, this 4-star Ten Hill Place, WorldHotels Distinctive is owned by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and offers free WiFi. The location of the hotel was perfect, a 10min walk from the city centre. The room was so spacious and spotless. The staff were also exceptional Robert the night manager was great to deal with. If returning to Edinburgh we’ll stay here again.

This elegant 4-star Victorian hotel offers luxurious rooms featuring iPod docks, flat-screen TVs, sherry and shortbread. I came in me and my family a bit late at night we had due to our delayed flight and the staff member was very very friendly he helped us with the luggage and offered us a drink the room was so nice and warm Clean Cozy and well equipped as the description so worth it for its price to be honest comparing to the other places Would definitely comeback another time very soon me and my family
