The Scholar is a newly refurbished hotel located in the beautiful grounds of the Pollock Estate, just a few minutes’ walk from Arthurs Seat, Holyrood Park and the Meadows and within walking distance... The staff was so kind, the room and bed was very comfortable, the location is also very nice (nice and calm university area but still easy to get to downtown by bus)

Convenient parking. Special thanks to Aurora, she was super friendly at the front desk, helped us with our suitcases and we left before breakfast and she made sure we had something to eat in the morning, it's very thoughtful and such service is appreciated. Friendly and helpful staff. Good and quiet location, 10-15 minutes walk from Waverly train station and in a walk distance to other popular tourist places. Rooms are clean and cozy, equipped with iron and ironing desk, usually not all hotels have them in every room, or for additional charge only. Breakfast is very good, starts at 7.00am.

This elegant 4-star Victorian hotel offers luxurious rooms featuring iPod docks, flat-screen TVs, sherry and shortbread. We were working a lot and needed a break and omg, it was amazing! The bed is so comfy! The place is so quiet. The staff is so friendly and helpful. We arrived early, so we left our bags there and went for a walk. The location is great! A lot of buses to go to the city centre, we got a day ticket, so we went around easily. It was a perfect get away! We will definitely come back! Thank you so much!
