Pitoresque and fresch boutique hotel with a great location in Cartagena. The staff is fantastically welcoming and helpful. They will help you with everything you need (if legal :)). We had a top room with a terrace overlooking the castle, beautiful view. The 140 cm bed was comfortable and big enough for us. The room had ok hot water in the shower. Very good breakfast and always offering a variety of fruits for free during the whole stay. Julio at the reception was exceptionally helpful and a lot of fun to discuss all sorts of things including tropical fruits, markets, tourist attractions etc. Overall fantastic. Would never stay anywhere else if visiting Cartagena.

This boutique hotel is situated in the Getsemani neighbourhood of Cartagena de Indias. It has a rooftop terrace with a hot tub, and offers air-conditioned guestrooms with free WiFi. We loved our three days at Casa Canabal in the bustling Getsemani district. From the moment we arrived when we were greeted with refreshing drink, to the moment we left, this was an oasis of calm and unexpected luxury. The breakfast is excellent, with eggs to order alongside fresh fruit and the usual continental offerings. All fresh and delicious! The staff, Alfonso, Juan, Freddie were super helpful, nothing too much trouble. Reception (sorry I forgot their names!) beyond kind and welcoming. The room itself was spacious and the bed luxurious. Bathroom was spa-like and exceptionally clean. The rooftop was a welcome relief in the stifling heat of Cartegena and we were glad to take a dip in the pool and rest in the shade. When you step out of the door, it's a colourful, noisy, festival atmosphere and yet none of this permeates the calm, quiet of the hotel. Cannot recommend Casa Canabal highly enough. It was a real treat for us at the end of our travels.

Set 1.7 km from Bocagrande Beach, Casa Bugó Arsenal offers 4-star accommodation in Cartagena de Indias and features a bar. The whole place is brand new and super clean, the staff are really friendly. The pool and rooftop is small but really nice to chill on a hot day. They also offer a free breakfast included in your stay and there is a wide variety of options and it was delicious with hot coffee or tea and fruit. The room had a massive flat screen tv with Netflix/amaozon/ Disney/ YouTube. The locations is just outside of the main city, which we preferred as we have stayed in the city and got no sleep. The roads are quiter here and you won’t be bothered by street sellers. Overall I would deffos recommend staying here, it is a little bit pricey but we got it on a late escape deal.

Ideally located in the Getsemani district of Cartagena de Indias, Getsemani Cartagena Hotel is set 1.3 km from Marbella Beach, 2.2 km from Bocagrande Beach and 700 metres from San Felipe de Barajas... We booked this hotel just hours before check-in, but got decent room for decent price. Rooftop pool was quite nice, and we were the only 2 people there which made it even better experience. Hotel staff was very helpful and polite. Our room started to have AC problems at around midnight - AC got very loud with screechy noises, when I took a short video of it, and showed to Staff member in reception, they immediately gave us another room and offered to help move our things, They showed that issues happen anywhere anytime, but can be dealt with efficiently and seemlessly. The hotel has a good location, although the very street where it sits can look a little sketchy at night. We never had a problem though and it didn't feel unsafe. The check in was smooth and they even stored our luggage for a few hours after we checked out. The breakfast was really good and the people were really nice.
