This was a great experience, our studio apartment was huge, very well equipped, very comfortable, a very nice experience - an old elegant hotel in great shape. Usually old colonial hotels can be a bit seedy - not this one - it was great. The owner greeted us personally, extremely friendly, informative and attentive. The staff were great too - very friendly and helpful. Melbourne sprawls a bit - but we were able to walk most places we wanted to go The restaurant next door is no longer a part of the hotel and is an Indian restaurant. The clientele were mostly Indian which is always a good sign - the food was outstanding.

We were brought to our room and shown around. There was a complimentary bottle of wine and chocolates, also there was the basic left in the apartment, water, milk, salt, pepper, oil and more bits that we didn’t get in any other apartment we stayed in. I thought it was a really nice touch. The views were amazing.
