Julie and Calvin were fantastic dropping us into town one day and the next day to the oyster island ferry. Onsite restaurant that only caters for the guests served beautiful food from a menu that changed daily - i'm not a steak eater however i had it there twice! and the burgers at lunch oh yum! The beach onsite was pristine! Even though this is their busy season it felt like we had the place to ourselves. We went to a few other beaches and the one at Barrier beach house was by far the best. I very rarely want to go back to a place (once I've been there i prefer to go try other places) but not in this case. We will most definitely be back!! I can see this being my winter destination over and over again. thank you Calvin and Julie for providing such a wonderful place.」

「The is a truly unique property. Not just typical resort style where you can go and stay anytime. It is a true Tanna experience. The journey over to the other side of the island away from the airport and resorts to this magical peaceful true village style place is why it is so special. The transfer from the airport to the accommodation is part of the adventure passing people and villages and seeing some of the island. Once there, it is the most magical special place. Quiet. Peaceful. Beach to comb, walk and swim on at your door step. Fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. Read books, play cards. Just a complete getaway. The staff are amazing and so friendly. Its so nice letting them take care of your every need and have your meals prepared for you. Don't expect a typical bistro menu, but you won't be disappointed. The produce and the meals breakfast, lunch and dinner are incredible. Nice to hand of those duties and have a reason not to have to cook ;) We took snacks, but we didn't touch them as the meals are so delicious and ample that its nice to just look forward to the meal and truly enjoy it. Even though it does add on to the cost of stay, its nice knowing your money is going to help local people and local villages, not resort managements. The bungalow itself if so comfortable, clean and gorgeous use of unique natural materials. Its truly is a beautiful unique experience...unforgettable. We are so glad we stayed more than 1 night, otherwise we would've been kicking ourselves! We hope one day we can experience it again!」

「Malvanua is very much like having a tropical island all to yourself. The owners Torq and Marianne are incredibly helpful, they live on the other side of the island so are close at hand for help but you wouldn't know they were there. The house has its own private beach, access to the lagoon, reefs, blue holes etc. It has everything a family needs, well appointed even an outdoor shower. We expected mosquitos, there were none! Water was warm and clear, loads of fish and wildlife. We spotted a dugong just off the beach. Load up on food from home as local supermarket selection is limited. Great family holiday.」

「From the moment we drove through the gates, everything was exceptional. John and Jeanette were so welcoming and immediately made us feel comfortable and welcome. Our accommodation was right on the waterfront in the most gorgeous hexagonal bungalow, the bed was very comfortable, everything was clean and provided us with what we required for a very enjoyable stay. Then of course you have the pool which I used a lot, breakfast was an absolute treat and yes the croissants were the best we have tasted, fresh fruit, good coffee right on the beachfront, what more do you want? 「Evergreen was a great place to spend time. They have put a lot of effort into upgrading their resort and it is lovely. There is a lot of detail in the resort decor (coral walls and wooden carvings) and the new vilas are really nice and modern. We stayed during the cyclone that came through so unfortunately we did not get to see much but we were looked after very well. We were upgraded from the bungalow to the vila to stay safe in the weather. Bungalow is very basic, but it is equally cheaper in price. I would stay in the vila if you can! We did manage to get to the volcano on Tanna, an amazing experience. Thanks Evergreen for your hospitality.」

「Comfort of stay and the friendliness of staff, we did not want to leave. Beautiful location. Very close to main town centre (5 minutes on bus) yet when at resort it was a peaceful tranquility. Family friendly with great activities for the little one in my family. Pool area and dining was where we spent most of our time. Would stay there again.」
