John gave us good restaurant recommendations. The sunsets from Marigot Bay are excellent. We are animal lovers so we felt quite at home with the dogs and the cats greeting us when we returned from outings, or while we relaxed in the Harbor Room reading and checking emails. It was a great way to finish our 12 day West Indies holiday.“

There is lots to do and several excursions for sale on beach,no hard sell.I recommend the speedboat to the volcano and mud baths filled by snorkelling and lunch then diving into sea with Terry and Terry from Bennys tours.my 22 year old my 20 year old and me had one of the best days of our lives.So much fun and never laughed so much. Windjammer is one and half hours from airport but pleasant drive,cost 75 dollars. There is a small supermarket and gift shops on resort. Taxis on site cost less than uk.trip to Rodney Bay took 15 mins and cost 16 dollars. Although we ate out we stocked up at large supermarket in Rodney Bay.“

  „This was the one and only place in the Soufreire area that we would ever stay in if we went there again. Big Tip: Do not opt for the air conditioned rooms on the ground floor. They are dark and a bit claustrophobic. We stayed there one night upon arrival and the next morning asked to see an alternate room upstairs. The staff was very accommodating, but advised me that the upstairs rooms were not air conditioned. I elected to see them anyway.. OMG!! The upstairs rooms are awesome! Forget air conditioning. They have high vaulted ceilings with ceiling fans over the beds plus a big oscillating floor fan and that's really all you need as it turned out. The view was beyond five star. I doubt that any of the big corporate hotels charging quadruple the price nearby even come close to having a view like these upper balcony rooms! Your own private covered balcony with table and chairs and hummingbirds busily flitting about the tops of the flowered bushes alongside your balcony railing twelve inches away.. a to die for view across the bay to the pitons beyond.. total privacy. There are three upstairs balcony rooms, we stayed in #2 which I felt was the best. Take my advice and even if you already have made your mind up that you absolutely must have an air conditioned room, ask to see these upper balcony rooms before you make your final decision. #1, #2 and #3 are all winners! Also the restaurant on the premises is definitely a cut above anything else nearby. Whoever was doing the cooking must have been trained in Paris?!? And all the staff were overly friendly and helpful. Nothing to complain about at all with the Hummingbird!“

You can find many butterflies as you walk around, and beautiful colourful plants and old structures. The cottages feel rustic and have a homey feel to them. There's a fully equipped kitchen as well. Uta and Verena, the owners of the property, are such kind and welcoming people who are always happy to chat and help, as well as show you around the property. Wonderful community. Would love to stay here again.“

Honestly, town is busy and loud, I would recommend the quiet area where Frenz is located to everyone. Close to Anse Chastanet, Anse Main and Sugar Beach (by walk or boat taxi). Nothing went wrong, 4 nights of absolutely great time.“

  „We came to Stonefield for our honeymoon and it was the most perfect place. We stayed in Villa Casaurina, with stunning views of the sea and Petit Piton, and had our own decking area, pool, sunbeds and a two person hammock in complete privacy. The bathroom and bedroom were spacious with a fridge and kitchenette for making tea/coffee/snacks. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly and professional staff, and the food was great, particularly the banana pancakes at breakfast. As previous travellers have mentioned, tours through the hotel are very easy to organise and you are given a mobile phone so that you can call for the hotel taxi wherever you are. The hotel is only a 15-20 minute walk (or free shuttle) to Malgretoute beach, a beautiful, semi-secluded black sandy (with some stones) beach, and a 20-25 minute walk into Soufriere, and is only a short taxi journey away from all the main attractions in Soufriere/St.Lucia - so you have everything on your doorstep for a fantastic holiday. It has been very hard to leave this paradise“

You have water, fruit, tea and coffee basics in the room which helps. The supermarket is about a 30 min walk away. It is very private with a lovely big balcony. The hill is pretty steap but manageable or taxis are available if you have things to carry. The views are spectacular! There is a lovely pool with a bamboo waterfall. Breakfast is good and a great opportunity to meet other guests. We would recommend the Echo tour, we had a great day with our guide David. It was a super close walk to the grocery store (5 minutes not even) and then an additional five minutes to the beach. It was on the end of a "no-thru" residential street, which proved to be very quiet and peaceful. All in all, I had such a lovely experience with them both and I know my family did as well - especially my father. In fact, my father liked them so much he has invited them to come visit us in Canada with their family. They're that great.“

  „Could not of asked for better hosts. Lybon was waiting to greet us outside on our arrival and made us feel extremely welcomed by him and his daughter. Accommodation itself was just perfect for what we needed. Accommodation location was perfect we felt like we were in the heart of Piaye community, and Lybon and Chanterlina were more then happy to tell us of the area and its history. If you looking for a self catering holiday away from the tourist industry where you can experience proper St Lucian, Caribbean life I would highly recommend this property to you. There are bus stops right outside the cottage so getting around on public transport is easy and cheap enough. I would highly recommend trying Chanterlina's authentic Caribbean breakfast which was ready for us as soon as we were awake and gave us a great start for the day ahead. there is also a rum bar two doors down which if you get there early enough (food sells out early) you can enjoy some early morning fried chicken and bakes, sounds so wrong but I can assure you it is so right! There is another food place next door as well as a small convenience store, as well as a petrol garage just across the road with a convenience store here too. The accommodation itself is cosy with nice décor and is stocked with everything needed for a self catering break. The bed was very comfortable and provided a decent nights sleep. All windows have secure bug screens so cottage was bug free and enabled us to have the windows open which helps give the place that true breezy isle cottage feel. Shower great although the water didn't get very hot, but in the Caribbean does it really need too? Lybon is a very informative host and I enjoyed listening to his many stories, he offers tours around the island I would highly recommend taking him up on his offer of a tour he makes it fun and interesting and not like a normal tour he really goes out of his way to make it feel like a friend is showing you their home.“
