Great staff. Beautiful old art deco dowager of a hotel dating from 1926; some things a bit shopworn but that's to be expected. Harks back to hotels of the golden age. Location perfect. Elevator even paneled in wood with a leather banquette inside. Huge tub to soak in. Classy lobby area with honor bar.
Housed in an 18th-century palace, this hotel blends a historical setting with picturesque views of the Lousã Mountains. Set in beautiful gardens, Octant Lousa features an outdoor pool.

These hotels offer something unique in terms of design and are usually set in a trendy, urban part of town. Blending high standards with a homey vibe, boutique hotels are more intimate than your average hotel.
The apartment was beautifully designed and laid out - very stylish and cleverly done with good rooms and a lovely feel. Location was good - we were able to walk to the university and other sights and to park very nearby.
The 2 bed apartment with integrated toilet and shower rooms was a nice surprise with regards to the design and decor. A unique boutique feel to it. The friendly welcome on arrival (plus drink and cake) was lovely and the useful information provided regarding sights and restaurants was very helpful and much appreciated. Breakfast delivered to the door was fine. Great location to walk to all the main sights.
Unfortunately it's not in a great location, photos mislead a bit, but if I owned the place I also wouldn't focus on the surroundings so I don't blame them.
Extremely comfortable beds.
I could suggest a way better interior designer, as the areas that have been newly decorated are cheap in taste which is a huge pitty, that kind of structure deserves so much more.
Generous nice breakfast.
Friendly staff.
All in all, I enjoyed my stay.
The apartment was in a really great spot easy walking distance to everything. The interior design and space were lovely. The beds were quite firm. The host was easy to contact.
Gorgeous little boutique hotel in the middle of the old town. Loads of character and very unique. Has a lovely little outdoor courtyard and a rooftop terrace with great views of Coimbra. Loved my stay there.
beautiful rooms and friendly staff, a gorgeous outdoor space to enjoy breakfast under the trees. and an adorable hotel cat to keep us company. situated in a convenient location near the university which made it easy to explore the main sites. the rooms were comfortable and stylish. the hotel offered a wine tasting every day and an amazing roof terrace with views. one of the best hotels we stayed in Portugal. stunning boutique hotel, with friendly staff in an excellent location
Absolutely gorgeous location. The apartment is situated in a historic renovated building in the very center of Coimbra within five minutes from the central train station. The hosts are wonderful people ready to provide you with any assistance and travel tips you may need. The view from the upper apartment is stunning. Everything is super clean and well designed.
Stylish without being overly designer-ish. All the amenities are in place and the bed is comfortably hard. Efficient check-in via hotel Oslo nearby (go there first) and communication. Care taken to root the place in its history: a very nice touch.
The room we stayed in was gorgeous and the fine cotton bedding felt luxurious. The owner thought of everything and the small special touches did not go unnoticed. Breakfast was amazing and was presented beautifully. We would definitely stay here again. This house would be the type of property that is featured in a designer living magazine.
