Over all the hotel facilities and staff were excellent. The room was cold and the main radiator didn’t work but we didn’t raise it.

We had an amazing breakfast with everything we could possibly want and exceptional service. I was completely charmed by the individual vegemite;) We stayed in Galatia on the second floor which was perfect and cozy with a luxurious private bath. The beautiful hotel and grounds, including landscape paintings by a local artist, set a relaxing tone for the start of our holiday. We were quite busy sightseeing so I wish we'd had the opportunity to spend more time on the property. Would highly recommend Berwick Lodge!

Nice looking hotel with parking close to Bristol. We booked last minute so there wasn't much choice but this was a good option. The room we had was large with a double and single bed in it. There was a kettle and tea making facilities.
These hotels offer something unique in terms of design and are usually set in a trendy, urban part of town. Blending high standards with a homey vibe, boutique hotels are more intimate than your average hotel.

Bed comfortable, shower great. At least the bathroom had good lighting except for the position of the light over the mirror so you stood in your own shadow. (Again sack your designers!)
Enjoyed the breakfast and the Reception staff were lovely.
The location was perfect for exploring on foot. The breakfast was very good, with a wide selection of hot and cold choices to suit all tastes. The interior design of the public spaces was very stylish, and we loved the original print work facade. The restaurant served lovely food at reasonable prices.
Superb breakfast. Polite helpful staff. Interesting interior decor, probably an interior designer involved. Lovely fish restaurant 5 minutes walk away, Spiny Lobster with fresh fish from Brixham. Good view of the Downs from my bedroom. Great range of tea and coffee in room. Lovely bathroom and area to sit at a table.
Aesthetically the hostel has been beautiful designed - bringing back to life the features of the stunning building. Hints of boutique hotel rather than hostel. It was also very quiet and felt very safe for our family.
