The country house with a terrace and mountain views has 2 bedrooms, a living room, a flat-screen TV, an equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and an oven, and 2 bathrooms with a walk-in shower. Towels and bed linen are offered in the country house. For added privacy, the accommodation has a private entrance and soundproofing. Everything was perfect, the place, the view. A very quiet and beautiful place, we will definitely come back.

Offering garden views, Barton Hall Country House is an accommodation located in Pooley Bridge, 30 km from Derwentwater and 37 km from World of Beatrix Potter. The property features mountain and lake views, and is 5 km from Askham Hall. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. The rooms were spacious and comfy and had a sink to each. The shared bathroom was only between 2-3 rooms. The sitting room had several couches and a tv with the futbol. The garden was nice and open room for the kids to run around not near a main road. The hot breakfast was delicious!

High Grassings Country House is a 16-minute drive from Grizedale Forest and the cosy hamlet of Hawkshead is less than 2 miles away. The historical town of Ambleside is 13 minutes' drive away and Windermere is just 8 miles away. Absolutely stunning view food room simply wonderful

Set in an acre of gardens, in the picturesque village of Grasmere, Lake View Country House is located in the heart of the Lake District, in a recently-renovated period property with original features. There is private access to Grasmere lake-shore. Free parking is available on site. Breakfast at the Grasmere Brewery was lovely. I actually liked walking down the street from the cottage for breakfast. We loved Grasmere - the winding streets, the surrounding hills, the shops. I had chosen Grasmere as a place to stay because we wanted to spend a couple of days in the Lake District and I had read that it was one of the prettiest towns. It was exactly what we hoped for. Richard, the proprietor of Lake View Country House, was so nice and helpful in every way. He made us feel comfortable, welcome, and gave us a fantastic recommendation for a day hike near the house, and for restaurants.

Free tea, coffee and ironing facilities are provided, and all rooms look across the countryside. Wonderfully located without being too far off the beaten track. Dean was very accommodating and knowledgeable of the local area.

The old country style exudes cosiness from the moment of arrival and the discovery of the rooms, the lounge and the library with their enjoyable little details makes the experience even better. What makes Lindeth Fell truly memorable however is the thoroughy professional and friendly staff. Anything you want is but a question away and quite often the staff anticipate the question before you think of it. We particularly enjoyed the company of Ben, all-round good chap, always ready with advice or a quick "nudge-nudge, wink-wink" to add to the experience. In addition to having breakfast, we also stayed for dinner, which was of a quality truly exceeding expectation: perfectly proportioned, perfectly cooked with a nice selection of affordable wines to go with them. All in all, a most excellent experience!

Cedar Manor is in the heart of the Lake District, a short walk from Windermere's shops, cafes and restaurants. It is 600 metres from Windermere Rail Station and a 10-minute walk from the lake. We loved the hospitality. The Cedar Manor is family run and it really shows as the hosts take pride in their home. Breakfast was fabulous. Cedar Manor is within a very easy walk to many of the finest restaurants. We will definitely be back. Very nice stay.
