We appreciated the kindness of the hosts, who brought us local produce and were there to answer any need or question. The area is wonderful for hiking in the Buila-Vanturarita national park, visiting the local UNESCO heritage Horezu monastery and many other points of interest.

Getting breakfast is simply a matter of going to the restaurant in the morning and choosing what you want off the menu. It is a good place for an overnight stay before or after visiting the Horezi monastery. There is also and old church (Biserica Veche) a short walk away that is worth having a look at. Some of the staff speak a little bit of English, so we had no problems despite only having 3 words of Romanian between us.
