Umutuzo Lodge Kivu Lake features a garden, private beach area, a shared lounge and terrace in Buhoro. This is a stay that I have never experienced before, exceptional is an understatement. We couldn’t have picked a better place for our honeymoon, and I am genuinely convinced that this tops all other lodges. If you want to experience Rwanda up close and personal, and also realistic, this is the place. You will surely feel at home and private. One tip, if you plan to reach the lodge by self-driving a car, a SUV is a must. Otherwise, there are options for airport pick up even from Kigali for a fee. There are various activities offered by the lodge which are worthwhile and a full-board dining is most definitely recommended. Overall, we are coming back 10/10.

Set in Kagano, 42 km from Nyungwe Forest National Park, Eben Lake Kivu cottages and Villas offers accommodation with a garden and free private parking. The hotel features family rooms. Clean and modern rooms with nice bathroom, beautiful lake view. We stopped on way to Nyungwe National Park which is a good 1.25 hour drive from the property.

My Hill Eco Lodge features a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Ruhengeri. The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk, a shuttle service, room service and free WiFi. Astonishing view, once in a life time - volcanoes, lake, islands, fisher boats... Such idyllic almost unbelievable scenery. Perfect communication with the owner before arriving, he solved any details of the travelling to there. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are simple yet convenient. I staid in rooms, not in a tent and i am perfectly satisfied. No mosquito problems in the room. Food is also simple but tasty.

Situated in Ruhengeri, 45 km from Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, Karisimbi Cave Resort features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. I absolutely loved everything about this property. Everyone is super friendly. Even got a little gift which I have been wearing every day since. The food was delicious - big portions. There was hot water and the shower was great. I can honestly not fault a single thing. It is a really peaceful environment.

Akagera Ihema lodges has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Akagera. Very spacious room with an incredible view of Ihema lake. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. And Monique is an excellent chef. Great location for visiting Akagera park.

Located in Kigali, 4.7 km from Kigali Centenary Park, Villa Asimba provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. I had an amazing stay at Villa Asimba. I highly recommend it, and hope to be back someday. Justine and Isabelle are fantastic hosts who made me feel welcome and right at home. The food is very very good.
