We booked for a gathering of friends and we had a lovely stay. The period house is fantastic, it is full of character, has interesting features, spotlessly clean, warm and well equipped. It is large and accommodated us all very comfortably, every room is generously sized. It is in a quiet area, with lovely views across the countryside. The host met us and was warm and welcoming. Fresh flowers and a generous hamper of goodies in the well stocked kitchen. One of the best houses I have rented, exceeded expectations, can't wait to return.

Mary the host was lovely and so helpful. Very generously left us chocolates, wine and a lovely cake. There were tea bags and a bag of coffee beans! Mary clearly tries to make people’s stays very comfortable. There’s a great big garden and gazebo area, just made for parties. There are 3 properties beside each other. The folly, another large house suitable for a large party and the host’s own house. Mary was really lovely and we didn’t feel that it mattered that she lived so close by. It’s a bit out of town on a small country road. We walked to the Hoban hotel, about 10 minutes. Would be very happy to return there again.

The village has everything you need, from the shop to the best pubs (and locals) we have had the privilege to visit whilst on our motorbike tour. I will have to return, soon.
