Ballyvaughan
Situated in Newtown, 5 minutes’ drive from Ballyvaughan and Galway Bay, The Waters Country House boasts over 40 acres of farmland at the foot of the Burren Hills. Ailwee Cave, also featuring an underground river and a waterfall, is only 3km from the property. Unforgettable experience! Surrounding area is very calm and beautiful (btw there is a very good fish restaurant in the nearby sea village). The house is more like a castle or a palace with rich, aristocratic interior full of history. Moreover, and it's a little bit of a spoiler, there is a water spring inside! The room we stayed in was also quite unique. This accomodation is very thoughtful, relaxing and inspiring.

The place is very nicely refurbished with great bathrooms and kitchen without losing its charme of a nice Irish cottage. The beds are very comfy. The wifi is very good and even when it was not working once, we contacted the owner and it was resolved within minutes. What a great place! The area was very quiet and peaceful. The cabin was beautiful with lovely little touches. The sauna and hot tub were great.
A beautiful cosy and lovely cottage ever been. Will definitely recommend.
Very comfortable double beds, newly renovated and well equipped kitchen; very comfortable sofa. The cottage is warm, cosy and easy to heat. We liked the effect of the fireplace.
The breakfast was healthy, with oats, joghurt, beeries, coffee or tea, water, milk, orangejuice, toast, scones, butter an marmelade. Everything we needed. Water, coffee, tea with Water heater in the room. Towels, soap and shampoo. All was fine. The house is a cosy place, restored with old wooden floor and beautifull doors, stairs and fireplaces. Ask Garry, were you can get lunch or dinner in Ennis. The Cliffs of moher are 30min away.
The cottage is fabulous. Very clean and cosy. Has pretty much everything in it to cook your breakfast, lunch & dinner if need be. Location is in a beautiful part of the countryside. 20 mins from Ennis.
The cabin was cozy and warm and we loved that there was no one around in the beautiful countryside
I cannot put into words how beautiful the Waters country house is. The entire property is absolutely gorgeous, with old - but beautiful - furniture and decoration, a cozy fireplace, a natural spring (with drinkable water) and the most amazing breakfast ever. Wolfgang and his wife were fantastic hosts and I felt very comfortable throughout the entirety of my stay. The location near The Burren and the nearest town also add to this amazing property. I will definitely be back for a longer stay, and I can only recommend this beautiful B&B.
