Mohan ji and his family treated us like their own family members! The location is wonderful and a must visit for all nature lovers and hikers. Located amidst the beautiful Himalayas and nearby to Darjeeling, its a great place to spend quality time with family or even for having a lone time. It was an absolute pleasure to visit the place and share memories with Mohan ji and his wonderful family. However if you have joint/knee pains or not comfortable with hiking, it might not be a comfortable option!

Darjeeling Shenanigans at Pine Retreat Resort
If you’re seeking a dreamy Darjeeling getaway with jaw-dropping views, Pine Retreat Resort is your top pick. I showed up with six friends and left with a heart full of laughter, thanks to cozy rooms, gracious staff, and enough tea to fuel our late-night UNO marathons.
The panoramic mountainscapes felt so real, we half expected eagles to snap selfies with us. The rooms were comfy, featuring plush beds perfect for burrowing under thick blankets while sipping fragrant tea. The resort’s local menu? A winner! Momos and spicy curries had us rolling back to our rooms in a blissed-out stupor.
Meanwhile, the staff must have graduated from the “Hospitality Hall of Fame”—they greeted every spill, question, and silly request with a genuine smile. Whether you’re hiking to secret waterfalls or simply gazing at star-studded skies, Darjeeling’s magic is inescapable. Pine Retreat Resort just amplifies it with easy-going vibes and perfect vantage points for sunrise ogling.
Bottom line? Pack your sense of humor and appetite, because you’ll leave with new inside jokes, a phone bursting with photos, and a serious tea addiction. Pine Retreat Resort is a Darjeeling gem—one you’ll be bragging about long after you bid farewell to the Himalayas.

The owners and their personal are very nice people. Always ready to help you, to give good advices. The homestay is cosy, with a terrace towards the Himalaya peaks, a vast and heritage sitting room. They made cooking for any meal you would order. Well located. To recomend
Great location and views overlooking vintage train station and mountains. Room at the front that I had was clean, cosy and heritage style. Only with the heater and warm extra blankets though and nice seating area in room that I really enjoyed coming back to at night and it made up for the water problems. Central.
Heritage building in centre across the street from vintage train station with great views. Very clean and attentive and helpful staff. My room was very cozy with the heater and great views and nice seating area in room and comfortable blankets.
We loved the overall place. Cottage is comfy and cosy and rooms are very neat. Namrata (Owner) was very cooperative and responsive. Ritesh was very professional and Rita cooks tasty food. Bonus is the Neo(Cat) whose charm is irresistible.
I loved everything. Literally everything. We took the budget room and it was cozy. Above all, Mr Paul (the manager) and his supportive staff members made our stay a memorable one. I can still remember their smiling faces, the support they extended and the golden days we did pass in this lodge. Looking forward to visit this place again.
🤩❤
