It was a wonderful stay, we were very well received by Bridie, a very kind person who was always there to give us any support. the house was very clean, and especially tidy for Christmas.

Magical stay. We stayed for a show in Cavan Equestrian centre and brought a pony with us. Beautiful facilities for pony and humans. Ellinor is amazing, so friendly and helpful. Beautiful setting, charming, lovely comfortable beds, and a beautiful stable for the pony. We stayed two nights. We will definitely return.
If you like peace & quiet, off grid stay this is the place for you.
Very quiet and peaceful in the country side.
We had a great nights sleep the beds were exceptionally comfortable and the heating system in the room was great.
Although the room seemed dated it is the character of the house. ( Country house)
It was a nice stay.
The staff was exceptional. They were so helpful. We sat in the bar one evening, and they started a fire in the fireplace to be sure we were comfortable. Overall, the best service ever.
A fabulous location - overlooking a magnificent Lough Sheelin, glorious undulating countryside, a great place to relax and appreciate the quiet life. A wedding was being celebrated during our stay and this just added to the experience, albeit for some maybe they would prefer total calm! Highly recommend and will be going back soon.
We booked a last minute stay over the Easter bank holiday wknd with our 2 year old daughter where the owner was very accommodating with indulging us with a pony ride. We found the location perfect very tranquil and an easy going atmosphere, we totally switched off. The superior family room was perfect, warm and cosy with plenty of space with a kitchen , large bedroom and sitting room and the beds where very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the staff really looked after every need we had, we will definitely return again soon!
The staff were so friendly and helpful .The room was very cosy and nice and warm with personal heating controls.
The grounds have walking access to the most beautiful and tranquil spot by the big lake. Perfect place to unwind and enjoy Jehovah's amazing creation .
A beautiful Country House in an idyllic location and filled with friendly staff. Now, once you’re there, you’re there for the night. It’s a little remote. Sometimes though, a remote gem with a lake at the bottom of the garden is exactly what’s needed. Just loved it.
We loved the old cottage, but were a little 'lost' about how to use the cooker and oven.
As it was cool, it would have ben lovely to have been able to have a small fire in the fireplace for at least one of the evenings, but that didn't work out.
Our host very kindly stepped out to stay elsewhere, essentially letting us use the entire home as ours while we were there - perfect for us as we were able to stay in and prepare our meals, and even invite good friends to come over for tea...
