Great starting point to visit the Pilanesberg National Park.
Really liked the game drives, with a 5:30 and a 16:30 option (take the early one to see more).
Morning and dinner buffet was great with large variety of fish, meat and vegetarian options that were freshly made to preference at a bbq station.
Staff friendly and problem-solving.
Family-friendly (we weren't a family) facilities, lots of resort-style options from tennis to mini-golf to pool to table tennis and foosball.
Featuring a pool surrounded by lush vegetation, the Bakubung Bush Lodge is located in the Pilanesberg National Park. It offers a variety of massages, and has elegantly decorated rooms with free Wi-Fi....

There was no breakfast, no television, no Wi-Fi, no pool. The place is good if you only need to sleep and do activities elsewhere, the staff was really helpful and friendly.

The overall experience was amazing and Suncity is captivating with its African beauty.
The only downside is that the general quality of food at the various hotel pools have dropped post covid.
All in all definitely a world class resort.

Hotel: Stayed in Cascades, superior luxury family room on ground floor. Cannot leave the sliding doors open because of monkeys, so you might as well book a luxury family room up stairs for cheaper. Hotel looks like it got stuck in the 80's. Really needs a make-over. Breakfast you wait in a queue for 30 min to be seated. Tables open, but not cleaned & hostess nowhere, so you wait. Only 1 guy operating the 1 toaster for about a 100 guests. Same guy has to serve the pancakes as well, so again you wait. Service of waiting staff terrible. Be warned - very loud music from the pool area wakes you from 7:30.
Valley of Waves: fantastic. Clean. Life guards super friendly. Just way too little back rests for the number of people on beach.
The Palace: much more relaxed atmosphere. Super comfortable lounge chairs & excellent service from waiting staff.

I did nt like anything in this complex.
I did nt like anything in this complex. It was crowded and full of children . soisy and no way to rest there. Breakfast was like an open market. Too many people and potential for disease transmission. Rooms were not cofortable.

Sun City is great!
Sun City is great! A gud holiday destination with family, friends or just as couples! I will always return for a break except I did not enjoy my recent stay at the cascades hotel, so I just won’t ever book there ever again!

The service at the Palace was not nothing close to 5 star.
The service at the Palace was not nothing close to 5 star. we expected more. It is overrated. We experienced better service at the Cascades and didnt cost us an arm and leg.
They were short staffed at the Palace, as a result, service at breakfast was slow and room service came about 2 hours later, only to not provide all that was ordered. Disappointing. I wouldnt book there again, as it was anniversary and was looking forward to a good experience.
