Tambuti is the best accommodation experience I think I've ever had. Better than any 4* or 5* hotel that I've stayed at, so truly exceptional. The warmth of the welcome, the attention to detail, the thoughtfulness and care - all were just wonderful. Plus we had tremendous food and drink, a beautiful building and location, and a marvellous guided safari experience. Very intimate (just 5 suites) and outstanding in every respect.

Breakfast was very nice with a good variety every day. Great game viewing considering the amount of rain they were having. Most enjoyable and they catered for our party of 10 very well from dining arrangements to the game drives.

Tshukudu has to be seen to be believed. It is phenomenal. I have safari’d all over Africa, and I have never come across a place as special as this. Please do not change a thing. It really is a rare gem to find a lodge so luxurious, but pure in its simplicity yet luxury.
From the moment we arrived, staff could not do enough to help us. They were welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. The whole experience has just been exceptional. It is so rare to find a lodge so pure, that has not sold out to tourists demands for spas and gyms, yet still remain luxurious and comfortable.
Pilanesberg is so beautiful - the animals are wild, not like many parks such as Kruger or the Maasai Mara where the animals have become so used to humans you can almost reach out and touch them. Here, there is still an element of having to seek out these amazing animals, and enjoy being in their presence.

The wildlife in the Pilanesberg is varied and every game drive we went on was well rewarded with good viewing on the plains. Black rhino reserve is quite different and probably better viewing in winter when less undergrowth.

I was here six years ago. There are much less animals.
I was here six years ago. There are much less animals. Looks like they removed hundreds animals to private game drives. It is not Pilinesberg that I saw six years ago. If you don’t want to be upset, choose Kruger.

The Pilansberg is great for Fauna & Flora. We always have good animal & bird sightings.
The condition of many of the roads is appalling and not comfortable in a normal sedan vehicle.
The Camping facilities at Bakgatla are adequate with good shade but not much grass.
However, the Chalet we used was terrible. R10k for three nights - the Aircon didn't work at all(in 37deg heat),the Stove didn't work. The Tap on the sink was literally falling off.The Fridge wasn't very efficient.
No Shower and the bath was designed for a midget & it was dirty because the surface was badly stained.
One toilet for five people - not good enough for R3k a night.

The staff and service were amazing.
The staff and service were amazing. Always helpful and polite. The manager Karel was also very helpful and went out of his way to please us. He took us on some amazing game drives.
The hotel is old and tired and the rooms are dirty. The mats by the bed were filthy and torn as well as the mat in the bathroom which also needed a clean.
The food was very average and we were also served left overs on one of the days we were there. Unless there is an upgrade to the premises I cannot see us going back anytime soon

What a stunning hotel! A lot of thoughtful touches (snacks during safari), chocolates on the bed and a wonderful (pre-arranged) romantic set up to celebrate our anniversary. We enjoyed the spa, safari and the staff were top notch!
The hotel is amazing, the Crew is very gently and the position is a dream! I’ll come back soon! I’ll fly from Italy again just to be in this amazing place!
