Nestled between mountains and forests in the heart of the Garden Route, Fancourt Hotel offers luxury accommodation and features 3 Gary Player designed golf courses and a wellness centre.

A real 5 star experience. We are not golfers but enjoyed a restful weekend here as part of a 3 week trip in South Africa. You are greeted on the door by very friendly staff and offered a drink. Our suite was exceptional as was the food and the lovely walks around the grounds. Treat yourself and stay at Fancourt to break up your journey on the garden route.

    The venue was clean, comfortable and beautiful. Everything was in perfect condition I love the sense of privacy and quiet area away from the buzz of traffic. I really had a great time and would recommend it to friends and family it’s a 10/10 from me.

    There is loads to do in George such as beautiful beaches, golf and berry picking. Visit Redberry Farm and see the Giant Strawberry. They have restaurants and shops and a hedge maze. Enjoy homemade ice-cream nearby. The Deacon House is an excellent restaurant with beautiful garden and views. Loved the rambling roses. The Garden Route Mall ticks all the boxes for shoppers.

    We weren't in George but outside over the Montagu Pass in Herold. The old Montagu Pass road in closed so it was a beautiful walk up the mountain. I recommend this venue to anyone wanting to get away from it all!

    George is a charming city with a small town feel.

    George is a charming city with a small town feel. Surrounded by the beauty of the Outeniqua mountains, George offers great outdoor activities as well as having the needed town conveniences. I always find it a restful place to visit and stay. I love the local Panarottis outlet for delicious pizza to the choice and variety of the SuperSpar located in Heatherlands. George is easy to get around with a car. For bigger shopping trips, the Garden Route Mall is great.

    The location is surrounded by the most magnificent mountain range. There are so many activities to enjoy. It is within easy reach of a lot of other places to visit. There is a good choice of restaurants including excellent ones. It is well maintained and clean.

    The amazing clean comfortable bed, Coming from a farm I thought I am not going to sleep with cars riding pass the property, I really did not hear anything during the night. The owners keep in contact with you while you drive to the guesthouse and stay online with you until you are ok and know where everything and all switches are inside. If I ever decide to go to George again, I will not stay at any other place than Georgina Self Catering.

    The location on the edge of George was spot on. There was easy access to the hotel and yo all major roads. The breakfast was enormous and you couldn’t eat it all. The food was delicious and a great variety from continental to full English.
