The young woman at reception made us feel very welcome.
Overall it was nice with the swimming pool out front and the nearby vineyards. The facilities in the apartment are excellent and the bathroom area in particular is superb. No breakfeast included, but that was ok.

The setting is beautiful. Stunning family run chalet. The food was delicious. Not a commercial lodge. Set dinner ( which was so yummy)
Augrabies Falls is a must do once in your lifetime.
Augrabies Falls is a must do once in your lifetime. We tied it in with the flower season which means a lower water flow, but still amazing. The Orange river is also a must do at this location. We visited the Kamkirri resort to see the river and it did not disappoint. Our accommodation at the Falls Guest House exceeded our expectations. Absolutely immaculate, we were warm and comfortable.

A visit to the falls is always worth it , what ever the flow rate of water.
However it is very clear that despite well trained and friendly staff the site suffers from neglect. A considerable proportion of the view site boardwalks are cordoned off as damaged areas show no sign of being repaired. Flood damage occurred about 18 months ago (so we were told) and it is very difficult to understand why a premier tourist destination does not receive priority from SAN Parks head office. We last visited Augrabies five years ago and heard the same story from staff, little, none or very difficult to get, support from Pretoria.
Shame on you SANParks!

Well, the water flow wasn't heavy as I thought we should have waiting till rainy seasons, nonetheless, my trip was good and I wish to see big 5's in my next trip, I did not ask if they have guided tours or it's self drive only.

Augrabies Falls was a highlight of our 5-week visit to South Africa. The earlier downpours had closed the game drive, moon rock and dassie walk, due to water damage. But the falls were spectacular and well worth the trip on their own. We spent 3 hours walking along the banks of the Orange River and then had lunch on the shady restaurant deck, with little monkeys running beneath the tables.

Augrabies falls was something amazing.
Augrabies falls was something amazing. I travel all over South-Africa, and Augrabies is on the top 3 of my list of most breathing places. The view is spectacular, the air is fresh and the trip through the Karoo was the cherry on top. Everyone is helpful, friendly and a pleasure to be around. I'll recommend it to anyone and definitely do it again despite the 10 hour drive from where I came from.

The falls were amazing to see.
The falls were amazing to see. Many advantage points to view the falls from. Interesting game drive, although animals are challenging to see. Augrbies falls park has a resturant, ablutions and chalets with pools. I would assume it becomes crowded in the busy season. Great area with many citrus and raisin farms

There was a delicious breakfast in the dining area at Reception. Much effort has been put into creating a beautiful garden. Our room was very comfortable, spacious, with a fully equipped kitchen and outside braai area. We really appreciated the air conditioner. This guesthouse is a very short drive from the gate to Augrabies Falls Reserve so we were able to see the falls and quality time there. Well worth seeing.
The setting is close to the Augrabies falls and other attractions. The host makes you feel very welcome. The braai area and other amenities were excellent. The kitchen is fully equipped....whatever you need is there. We also loved the fact that the property teamed up with other local businesses, and one could buy produce directly from inside the unit. Most importantly.....WORKING AIRCONS!
The staff there are friendly and helpful. The was dinner that was fantastic and breakfast was okay. The venue is very seclude perfect for a relaxation; private gate away and it’s near the Augrabies Falls. I would definitely do it again.
