People complained about the location being sketchy. No, the whole city has this old colonial feel and garbage is everywhere. It is not about this hotel location per se. it also says nothing about the charm of this country. Its just the way it is, and I never felt unsafe. The room is big and the hotel centrally located. Very good value.

We liked everything ! The design, the room, the bed, the bathroom, the cleanliness, the comfort, the staff, the location, the breakfast. The hotel is in a beautifully restored old villa and it was a pleasure to come "home"to it in the evening.
