The Davenport Grand, Autograph Collection, hotel in Spokane

Boasting an on-site restaurant and lounge, The Davenport Grand, Autograph Collection is located in the city centre of Spokane, Washington.

This had the look and feel of a five-star luxury hotel without enormously high room cost. Every detail was taken into consideration, from the lobby area to the hallways it was very clean and stylish. The outdoor patio with staffed bar was a nice surprise that overlooked the park, we actually found ourselves staying at the hotel longer than we normally would.

    Spokane used to be nice.

Spokane used to be nice. Now it is plagued with the worst drug and transient problem I have ever seen. I have lived here for 35 years. Downtown, you will literally have people shooting up or smoking crack/meth in the open. Hookers walking around. The mayor declared a public health emergency because of all the drugs being done downtown. Spokane is just a dying shithole.

Had a great time in the city, love the walking space created by the waterfall and the downtown area. Nice place to explore for a couple days or a long weekend. Looking forward to going back and spending a couple more days there.

First, I was born in Spokane, then swept away as an infant never to return until this summer (at age 72!) when a business trip to Kennewick, Washington for my husband, put me close enough to enjoy 24 hours in Spokane. The World's Fair of 1974 encouraged Spokane to do a major cleanup of the railyards and the waterfront. The remnants of the fair still exist and the waterfront is beautiful and fun. We rode in a skyride over the waterfall in downtown Spokane. Yes there is a waterfall downtown and it is gorgeous. We also rode on the indoor carousel. We walked extensively in the waterfront area. There is lots of parking albeit mostly paid. We went up to the exquisite Manito Park overlooking the city in a beautiful area of old homes many mid-century or craftsman. We had an amazing breakfast at a restaurant called the Old European, yum. There is an outdoor skating path in downtown where you can rent skates and it is iced over in the winter for ice skating as they also rent ice skates.

I came to Spokane to meet up with friends and attend the Farm Chicks Show , the home we stayed in was perfect. It was very nice space , comfortable and spotless . Without knowing Spokane at all , the home was in very short distance to Starbucks and the Fairgrounds.

Spokane is a vibrant city with a rich history.

Spokane is a vibrant city with a rich history. Beautiful turn of the century architecture, built when railroads were the king! Lots of great restaurant options, fun shops, microbreweries. Definitely take a walk on the Centennial Trail along the river, and see the falls. The Sky tram across the falls is fun!

    Spokane has good and bad.

Spokane has good and bad. Food scene and walking the downtown are is good. Parking is expensive and sucks. Cleanliness and safety downtown especially at night is a concern. The old lyrics, "The freaks come out at night." are appropriate. Even Spokane is experiencing similar degredation as Portland, Seattle etc. Why do these cities allow themselves to become so unsafe and dirty? all pretty much run by the libtards.

Had a lovely dinner in the historical dining room - staff and food very good. The hotel itself has a long history and wandering around and looking at the displays of old Spokane was very interesting. The location of this hotel is in the heart of downtown Spokane and very walkable to shopping, restaurants, parks etc. We left our car in the garage and walked to several local restaurants. Will definitely stay again on our next trip to Spokane.

This hotel is in a safe area of the city; right off the freeway. Easy to get in and out of Spokane. I like the hotel because you can walk to Riverfront park and downtown Spokane under 15 minutes. The room is large with very comfy beds and a clean bathroom. They serve continental breakfast with good coffee. The price is good too.
