I was frustrated I got double charged for my room because booking.com had my first name as measom so the Hilton couldn't find my reservation so they ended up booking a different room and booking.com charged me as a no show even though the Hilton did a reversal I still got charged for the room twice. Other than getting double charged I loved the stay.

Salt Lake City is the surprisingly green Utah capital between the mighty Wasatch Mountain Range and the Great Salt Lake. Aside from skyscrapers housing industrial banks, the skyline is dominated by monuments of the Church of the Latter-Day Saints which is headquartered here.
A church member, Brigham Young, founded the city in what is now This Is The Place Heritage Park. A tower sculpture commemorates the settlers’ trek across America by handcart, an example of which is in the Pioneer Memorial Museum. Walled Temple Square has the main Mormon sights: the Temple is only visitable by members, but anyone can listen to the famous Tabernacle choir.
The State Capitol sits majestically on top of a hill with views of peaks offering winter skiing and summer hiking. The city hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics and one venue was the Olympic Cauldron Park within the University of Utah, also home of the Fine Art Museum and Natural History Museum.
The Gilgal Sculpture Garden is a more unusual Salt Lake City attraction and down the road is the Trolley Square Mall. More branded stores are in the Gateway District, while Sugar House is more trendy and eclectic.
Booking.com’s accommodation options include hotels with hot tubs, motels allowing pets and cheap apartments near Salt Lake City Airport.
Lots of street construction & street disturbance. Too many homeless just hanging out all over. We drove to the City Center Mall which is beautiful at Christmas, used the underground parking & had lunch at Cheesecake Factory which is always full but always worth it. Went to listen to an organist at the ancient Tabernacle (finished in 1869). They have someone playing the organ everyday at noon. It is powerful, also took a 3 hr tour of the city & that was money well spent, lots to learn & lots of beautiful places like "This is the Place" Monument right across from the zoo

It was amazing!
It was amazing! We were there for a wedding and still had time to do so much. I would recommend going to Park City and Provo (an hour from the city each way). We did a lot of hiking trails and explored the city.

Amazing. So many sights to see.
Amazing. So many sights to see. You have to eat at “Billy Blanco’s.” Fantasy food and the ambience is like nothing I’ve ever seen. The “soda” shops were unique to me, great taste for my “strawberry sprite.”

I was surprised by Salt Lake City, and not in a good way.
I was surprised by Salt Lake City, and not in a good way. I suppose I was anticipating what’s shown online and through Mormon Moms on social media. That is not accurate.
The amount of homeless, and drug addicts wandering the downtown area surpassed even what I have experienced in Harlem, New Orleans and Bakersfield. It was shocking. People attempting to reach the temple were being harassed on the way from their $20 parking spot- it’s wild.
Currently, they also have almost every major street into the downtown area under construction, making it next to impossible to navigate.

A lot of growth with housing popping up everywhere, so much change. Have to go to the Grove Market on 1900 South and Main to get a Hogue and eclair if your hungry for lunch. Has been there forever and won't be sorry. Check the hours and days their open! Be careful to rent rentals in South SLC because the area is bad and older homes are not kept up, recently had a 3 day rental that turned into 1 night disaster. When we rented the rental sounded good for 3 nights for 5, no refunds.

This town is far from the usual and messy metropolitan cities like New York, Los Angeles, and others. If you want to visit the Mormon temple and learn more about them this is the right place. Nearby there is the Salt Lake, the desert, and Yellowstone Park. You can visit all these places at once.

The hotel was decent enough and as expected. The room was clean, comfortable and, as we stayed in winter, warm. It is close to the airport and there is a shuttle bus that can be ordered to get you to and from the terminal. The breakfast was good too, and, although it is not the most extravagant, it does the job and you are ready for the day!
I chose Best Western Plus Airport Inn & Suites as it was close to the airport for an early flight. The room was large and well appointed with a comfortable bed. There is a gas station close by to fill the rental prior to returning to the airport.
