Howard Johnson by Wyndham Lenox, hotel in Lenox

Boasting a garden, Howard Johnson by Wyndham Lenox is situated in Lenox in the Massachusetts region, 7.3 km from Tanglewood and 7.6 km from Cranwell Spa & Golf Club.

The room is very spacious & clean, very good value for money. The round dining table was very good for us sitting round with enough chairs for 3 of us to eat & chat. The ceiling light over the dining table, provided sufficient lighting for that area. The gentleman who checked us in was very helpful, friendly and cheerful, he was very considerate and given us an upstairs room. The place was easy to find. The shops are nearby, and very convenient, would come back and stay if we are passing this way again.

Quaint New England village in the heart of the Berkshires.

Quaint New England village in the heart of the Berkshires. The area is thick with cultural opportunities, especially in the summer time. We were there during the first snow of fall/winter 2024. We still liked it!

My late husband was born and raised in Pittsfield Ma so we were there visiting for over 40 years and Saw and did everything. It was always so enjoyable. Everything about and around the Berkshires is wonderful.

We stayed in Lenox as a meet-up with college friends and it was a very pleasant backdrop to our reunion- lots of choices for short drives to art museums or walks and in town some very nice restaurants and cafes and shops. Picturesque, but pricey. We visited midweek in October, and Lenox did not seem overrun with visitors, but I imagine during the summer there are crowds.

Lots to see culturally and historically but unfortunately we did not have sufficient time.Had a good lunch at Electra cafe and a phenomenal dinner at Frankie’s Restorante - fine dining (Italian) at moderate prices. Also has a great selection of vegan dishes.

Nice walkable town undergoing historical renovation.

Nice walkable town undergoing historical renovation. Reminds me of Leesburg, Va. My only criticism is that most restaurants are closed on Mondays. In great proximity to Stockbridge, if looking to go to Rockwell Museum or to Tanglewood.

The town is sweet, with lots of places to eat and shop if you like. Near many interesting places to visit: The Mount, Arrowhead, Hancock Shaker village, Williamstown and Clark Museum, Tanglewood, Frelinghuysen Morris House, Stockbridge with Chesterwood, Normal Rockwell Museum, more food and shopping. Lots of local parks and hiking. I ate at Alta Wine Bar, scrumptious. Reserve ahead.

We loved the wonderfully warm welcome, and the care every member of staff we met showed towards the guests. They have lots of ideas and suggestions for things to do and see locally, as well as places to eat. Lenox itself is a friendly and welcoming town, with an attractive town centre. Breakfast was really tasty and lovely that sweet treats and hot drinks were laid out at all times. Our room was nicely decorated, the mattress was very comfortable and the shower was great.

Group of inns close to the center of Lenox; walking distance to some excellent restaurant and shops; genuinely old properties, staff welcoming, with a lounge area and free coffee/tea available as well. Room was quiet. Bit pricey, but that's the norm in Lenox in late August it seems.

Whistlers is the classic old school bed and breakfast - a house filled with antiques and memories and lots of character. It is family run and they care about the guests. This is standard NOT box hotel but if you enjoy sitting in the reading room with a glass of sherry this is your place
