Wife and I went down to check out the state fair. I wish I would’ve stayed longer we’d like to see more of the city we found an excellent little restaurant in some back alley. The service was fantastic. The food was amazing. It was on the pricey side and we would’ve gone back the following night if we would’ve stayed. It was just a 2 Hour drive for us down rte 71. I waiting in a huge check in line for over an hour only to get up to front desk and be turned away since I was expecting to pay at property as many others did. We should have told this OR better yet a sign put up on the door that unless you prepaid there were no rooms, they were overbooked. Truly horrible experience waiting in a very dirty and hot lobby for over an hour only to be turned away, Plus for the longest time they only had ONE person helping so it was taking forever. Worst check in experience ever it was the last hotel available in the city due to a big event, so many were turned away but should have been notified before standing in that line.

It’s a great size when traveling with kids. We stayed downtown where there were things within walking distance. Most of our planned activities were in surrounding suburbs — quick, easy drive and very convenient to stay downtown (like staying in the hub of a wheel). Kids favorite spot was Olentangy Caverns - biggest hit there was mining for gems.AAnonymous
