Where Everybody Knows Your Name
One of the oldest and most historic US cities, Boston is known as ‘America’s Walking City’. In its heart, next to 18th-century Faneuil Hall, is Quince Market - a food haven. The nearby seaport offers whalewatching trips and restaurants serving a Boston speciality: lobster with melted butter.
The streets south of the peaceful Charles River in Back Bay are lined with Victorian brownstone houses. At the downtown end of one – Beacon Street – is the Cheers bar, modelled on the 80s sitcom. Opposite is Boston Common, a large park with a bronze sculpture celebrating the book ‘Make Way for Ducklings’. The golden dome of the House of Representatives is by the other end.
The oldest part is Charlestown and streets around the Bunker Hill obelisk still feature old-style gas lamps, though now they are electric. Over in Cambridge, Harvard is the USA’s oldest and most prestigious university. The campus is open to the public, as is Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), whose central point is an emblematic, Pantheon-like building.
Sport in Boston is also a big thing, with the Celtics and Red Sox among the city’s big name teams.
The largest New England city, Boston has the perfect size for walking and cycling. Logan International Airport is connected by public transport to Boston hotels, motels, apartments and B&Bs.

The seaport is a beautiful area of Boston.
The seaport is a beautiful area of Boston. Boston is not a very big City and many areas can be very easy to walk to. Boston has many museums and historic places to visit. We especially like the Childrens Museum and the Aquarium. Don't forget to visit faniuel hall and if you come during the holidays make sure you go shopping at snowport! So fun!

Great city -- easy to traverse via foot or the T. Lots to do and see. The museum of fine arts was fabulous. Also, definitely go to Bakey (across from Boston Commons) for a piece of babke -- best I've had (even compared to NYC!). Only thing: Dress in layers. Weather can go from sunny and cool to rainy, windy, and cold within just a short bit.

The restaurant is excellent. The staff are super-friendly and helpful. The hotel is very close to the airport with a continuous shuttle service. I you want, the water taxi to downtown Boston is right outside the door. It's not exactly cheap, but the price is quite reasonable considering the room, view, location and restaurant. (See photo for the view from our room.)

The beds where so comfortable (it may have been the best hotel bed I've ever slept on), and the rooms where spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 kids to stay comfortably. The hotel was perfectely situated near public transport, a shopping centre and so central that we could get onto the Freeway quickly and easily.
