The Zanzanite is in a beautiful setting. Atilla, the owner, welcomed us personally and was always on hand. He had friends staying, and we were welcomed into the family! The staff couldn't do enough for us throughout our stay. The pools are beautiful, and the hotel is right on the beach. The breakfast was enormous and set us up for the day. Someone was always on hand to produce freshly squeezed fruit juice or bring us a towel. Atilla even gave us a lift to town when we wanted to go shopping or change money. Bwejuu beach is stunning - a truly local beach where you can sit at the front of the hotel and watch the world go by - ladies gathering seaweed and shellfish and children walking along the beach to school.

Deserves a much higher rating on Booking. Lovely and welcoming staff. The owner is very responsive. Location is right in the heart of Stonetown, so it’s easy to walk everywhere, but still quiet. Large rooms and private bathroom was clean with hot water. Excellent value for money. The owner kindly arranged a very early morning taxi and checked if everything was going well. A very caring man. I would definitely stay here again. Google maps has it in the wrong place, so you need to head for the Hindu temple or Secret Garden.

Central location easy walking distance to Stone-town and ATM. Very comfortable bed. Strong water pressure in shower and great shampoo and body wash supplies. Absolutely loved the crunch cake at breakfast the best I have had in a long time!
