Mama the cook was a good lady who knew how to cook the local Swahili dishes so it was good.
We had asked the Host to tell the team to make us some roasted fish, rice, and peas which was spot-on delicious.
For the evening we had ordered a local chicken (and paid for that) we wanted to eat with rice and the mama did full justice.
The following Morning was not as expected but then after lunch we had decided we will cook our own dinner and paid the manager to get some fish that we cooked ourselves.
But Naomi the host was super nice and was always ready to help us online with whatever she could.

"Porini" means forest in Swahili. Human activity is almost absent here, instead wildlife greeted us. FORGET Zanzibar. The emerald Indian Ocean and sandy beach offered us peaceful walks along the shoreline, with only a few fishermen passing by. After spending a month in Tanzania, staying at Porini House was a true retreat, allowing us to escape from the hustle and bustle.
