This whole area is improving...better transit access, better car access, better stores/restaurants and airport activities, and gets cleaner every time I pass through. Still lots to improve - I believe a whole terminal is shut down for repairs/renovation, and the terminal is built like a military airport, which is to say that the airport building is SUPER wide and important buildings are spread out, making walking around very difficult. The road out front(Don Mueang road) is absolutely idiotic. Several one-way streets, stacked next to each other, with no way for pedestrians to easily cross. The neighborhoods nearby are full of great street shops and restaurants. Lots of noodles and fried items available at all hours of the day. Streets are a lot cleaner than you might otherwise expect. There are actual trees in this neighborhood!

A nice suburban district of Bangkok with a brand-new train station giving direct, comfortable and quick connection to the urban metro network of Bangkok city. Numerous nice local restaurants with good quality food. A couple of immens shopping malls and numerous smaller supermarket everywhere. The Royal Thai Air Force museum is worthwhile a day’s visit in combination with the Air Park at the other side of the road. A couple of interesting temples. Very frequent taxis everywhere due to the vicinity of the airport.
