Vipava is a very picturesque town with interesting history, countryside and views. There are many good winemakers in the Vipava valley (e.g. Poljšak). You can easily hike or bike around. Perfect stop in rooms hosted by vineyard owners - simple, pleasantly fitted out rooms in rustic, old buildings in tranquil village surrounded by vineyards. We booked the wine tasting session for the evening which included a platter of food which was plenty on a hot evening - highly recommended. I love the Vipava valley.
I love the Vipava valley. The towns are charming, the scenery is amazing and there are a lot of great hiking trails all over the area. It's unbelievable how many really great restaurants there are in a small area. I've been there three times and will certainly go back!
