We were bumped from other accommodation and had to find an alternative place to stay the day of arrival. The host, Dragona, is exceptional and could not have been more helpful. Her apartment is huge, incredibly comfortable and has a wonderful terrace looking towards mountains. The location is on the edge if Nis but we were delighted - excellent restaurants just a few minutes walk and easy to get into town if you have a car. She spoiled us with gifts of beer, local pie and honey. She also speaks English. Could not fault our stay. Bravo Dragona!
Niška banja is located near the city of Niš. Here you can enjoy in different ways: to walk, to have lunch/dinner in a large number of restaurants that prepare delicious food, to visit several sources of spa water. Suva mountain is nearby and those who like hiking can go to the mountain and take a walk.

Great place for hiking as there are many hiking routes to choose. Also, as it is a spa for cardio patients, there are walks suited for them. The scenery is nice, it is a warm water spa, with a nice park, well kept. Several good local restaurants.

Niška Banja is a small town primarily geared towards the patients seeking rehabilitation and improvement of their health condition. However, it is also perfect for whoever wants to just relax and do nothing. In the area, there are hills and mountains perfect for hiking and even rock climbing. Much of it is the area of untouched, pristine beauty.
On top of it all, the local food is simply amazing. This part of Serbia is well known for its barbecues and filo pastries. The restaurant named "Letnja pozornica" had some excellent meats served with fresh salad. The portions were huge and the prices are more than acceptable - about half the price of what it would cost in Belgrade.
