The location is so convenient to all that the Peneda-Geres National park has to offer….excellent hiking and panoramas, and beautiful scenic drives. The view from the hotel is gorgeous as it looks into the Cavado River. The staff was professional, efficient, super kind and helpful from the moment we checked in. Joao, the desk, provide so much helpful information about the park upon check-in. Diana in the dining room was a delight! Even with a packed house for dinner she kept her happy attitude and performed her job well. The spa facility at the hotel offered Turkish bath, sauna, cold shower, and jacuzzi, we enjoyed all and found them them to be clean and functioning properly. Delightful! My wife and I also took advantage of the massage services and were pleased with the massages we received from Mariana. We could not have been more pleased and satisfied with the property, the staff, the room, and the spa. Will DEFINITELY return to Hotel Sao Bento..Thank you to the staff for a job well done!

- Swimming pool - Nice breakfast

The property location was very good and directly across from one of the nicer beaches on the lake. You could rent small boats or kayaks there and easy access to the beach directly across from the hotel. The hotel is extremely clean and well kept. we ate dinner in the hotel our first night and found that the owner and his wife are not only the people that check in, but the people that wait on you and cook the food. Their heart and soul is put into this Hôtel and the food was one of the best meals we’ve had in Portugal in over two weeks. It is not a fancy restaurant, but the food and the service is exceptional and should not be missed if you’re in this area even if you don’t stay in the hotel. Both Victor and Rosa are extremely kind and caring people. This has been one of our best experiences traveling Portugal. We came home one night with a bottle of wine and some food and Victor gave us a knife and plates and napkins to take to our room so we could cut up our cheese and have a plate to eat on. Rosa wakes early to make all the breads and croissants fresh for your breakfast in the morning, and the breakfast should not be missed. There is nothing like grabbing hold of a warm fresh baked roll for your breakfast along with all the other wonderful things they had for us. This was a stay we will not forget and it is highly recommended if you are in the national park

Wonderful place in the nature and the staff is just exceptional. They are incredibly friendly and helpful and the food is simply amazing.

The hotel has a large set of facilities like Gym, Indoor and Outdoor swimming pool as well as baby's pool. There is a tenis courtyard and football field. The rustic look of the hotel is very charming although not so practical specially for guests staying in the first floor. The staff is amazing and always looking to please the guests. The breakfast is the normal continental with some nice house made pasteis de nata. The reception staff went the extra mile to make sure everything was ok with our stay.
