History and Sandy Algarve Beaches

For families and older travelers, Lagos is much nicer than Albufeira, which is full of kids in their early twenties. The beaches are the main draw, and the Old Town, although not particularly picturesque, has lots of restaurants and nightlife.

We had never been to Portugal so were not sure what to expect. We left loving Portugal and planning to go back again next year. Lagos is a beautiful town - bustling with plenty of restaurants/cafes but has a sense of ease and relaxation. The most beautiful beaches are within walking distance. We do beaches to chill out, there are many here along with a lovely Camino for walking. there are many restaurants and coffee shops . though produce in supermarkets is of excellent quality as well if you want to dine in. Special mention goes to My Cake in Lagos for coffee and cake or macaroons. and Arteseo at the marina for breakfast or dinner , lovely view and vibe as well.

Nadia does the absolute best in order to make every guest at home. She was so lovely, helpful, kind and generous.
