Love the location and the walk into town, the staff is courteous and responsive, the pool is nice, the rooms are spacious, breakfast is good (they even have a gluten free bread basket at no additional cost). Felt clean. We got lucky with parking.

The hotel is perfectly situated near the beach, shopping and restaurants yet it’s tucked away on the street making it a peaceful serene retreat. The pool area is inviting and overlooks the ocean with breathtaking views of the sunrise. The breakfast has a generous selection of fruits, cereals, yogurts, cheese and cold cuts. Grilled vegetable stacks and mini quiches were tasty. Fresh juice were placed on the table once seated and egg dishes/coffee can be ordered. The reception and restaurant staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. The rooms were confortable and very clean. They provided bottled water and port (which was delicious) in our room. It was a wonderful way to celebrate my mother’s 88th birthday.

The property was lush and colorful with a beautiful fountain that offered relaxing sounds. The staff were so kind and friendly and sincerely helpful. The sauna and Turkish bath were welcome and such a fantastic addition. This place has great vibes, and truly the best staff I have encountered at a hotel in this area, or Lisboa for that matter. I love the size of the hotel, the pool, and availability of food and drink at the pool. Also, the breakfast was excellent quality, abundant, and even with all the guests, the woman making coffees remembered our order from the previous day! We loved doing a photo shoot with the aqua velvet couches in the lounge. And finally, the views of the ocean were such a bonus:)

Cascais is a small city located on the outskirts of Lisbon. Once a fishing village and defence outpost, the royalty transformed it into a stylish summer resort. Mixing beautiful beaches, elegant mansions, imposing fortifications, and a wide variety of hotels, Cascais is a great option for every season.
King Luís II used the city as his summer residence from 1870 to 1908, attracting other celebrities, and changing the destiny of the tranquil village forever. Modern roads and railway lines linking to Lisbon and Sintra were built, as well as a casino and other facilities. Some of the best hotels and 5-star resorts in Cascais date back to these times.
Nowadays, the town is a cosmopolitan beach retreat along the Estoril Coast, where people from Lisbon and other Portugal cities come for a day or weekend escapade. Many foreign tourists prefer its more relaxed hotels over the sometimes hectic Lisbon atmosphere.
Don’t miss the Citadel, rebuilt during the 16th century in a typical star-shaped Renaissance style. Other attractions include the Museum of the Sea and the ‘Paula Rego House of Stories’.
Beach hotels are the gem of Cascais and you can find a wide range on Booking.com. Check your availability with enough time in advance, as the city remains a popular summer destination.
Cascáis was the second part of our journey. We truly loved Lisbon so it took a day to appreciate the differences. Cascais is more casual.. many young people and crowded beaches. We appreciated the food, cafes, views along to coast line, and Palacio Estoril ( was a great place to slow down a bit).

There are so many beautiful (albeit extremely crowded in summer) beaches all within walking distance of each other. There are many fantastic restaurants (rule of thumb is to stay away from the ones where they try to talk you into the restaurant- this goes for any place you visit really)
Walking around the marina and art galleries is fun, and overall Cascais feels like a luxury beach holiday destination. People are very friendly.

I was at the city for a very short period of time in order to attend the Coala festival in the Hipódromo. I didn't have a chance to go to the beach during the 3 days I was there but saw it from the hotel and in my way to and back from the festival and it was a very cute, small and beautiful beach. The citycenter around the hotel was very nice to walk around, I didn't go so far but there were restaurants, pharmacies, cafes, small and big markets, many options to shop, eat and just get to know the charming city. I would definitely go back to Cascais, actually I'm planning to do so in the next month!

The hotel Vila Gale is approximately a 10 minute walk from Cascais centre where the restaurants and bars are. It was a great hotel for the pool as not many in Cascais have a large pool like this hotel does. It was great having use of the electric scooters to get to and from the hotel. Bring cash as a lot of the shops are cash only!
The apartment was super comfortable. Two big bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room and a big kitchen with a dining room. Exactly as described and on photos. Aircondition! A kind of tarrace / garden with a common space for all guests. Super location for sightseeing this part of Portugal. 5-15 minutes by car to all beaches. 30 minutes to Lisbone. 20 minutes to Baca da Roca. And the owners are very friendly people. They welcomed us with a bottle of wine and a bottle of Port wine! I recommend.
The room is spacious, and the view is amazing. The breakfast was very good and the staff are polite, welcoming, and attending. The facilities are well-kept.
The hotel does not have a private beach but is within walking distance of several public beaches. The location is very calm, and relaxing and is very close to the Sintra area.
You can either take an Uber(or a taxi) or a train to Lisbon. The train station is like 5 minutes away.
I really enjoyed my stay there!
We absolutely fell in love with the Pergola Boutique Hotel from the minute we walked in. The staff are just delightful, friendly and helpful and the building beautiful. We had a room with a balcony which was fabulously spacious and had a stunning bathroom with the best shower ever. Breakfasts were truly delicious - so healthy and fresh and lovely choices. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the train station yet the street was very quiet. We'd definitely come back.
Perfect beachfront location (Praia da Ribera). Our room on the 1st floor has a balcony facing the beach/sea (these rooms are the best, especially on higher floors). A very good breakfast buffet is included and served in the restaurant downstairs. Very friendly and helpful staff. Shops, cafés, restaurants and attractions are all within walking distance. We took the train from Lisbon to Cascais and walked from the station to the hotel.
Great hostel with a pool and relaxing atmosphere. The best hostel I've stayed at so far! We booked a large, separate room with all the facilities of a nice hotel room. We came from Lisbon to beat the worst of the summer heat and appreciated the efficient ceiling fan and the pool. The hostel caters to those who like new experiences and meeting new people. It is located a short walk from the beach.
