Surigao is recovering from damage caused by typhoon Odette.
Surigao is recovering from damage caused by typhoon Odette. I suggest waiting a year or so before visiting here. It was rainy and windy during our visit so not fair to comment. Did not feel safe to walk around at night. We observed many blatant drug users along the Seawall opposite our hotel.

Its just over the road from the main Surigao ferry terminal, its great value and was all we needed for our 1 night stay. The host also allowed us to leave our car there for 5 nights while we went on a trip to another island.

The location is walking distance to the port. It's convenient if you're travelling from Surigao City to Dapa (Siargao). Oh, and they provide free toiletries, wifi is good, there are lots of canteens in the neighborhood.
