Hippocampus Beach Resort, hotel in Malapascua Island

Hippocampus Beach Resort enjoys a beachfront location on Malapascua Island, a 35-minute boat ride from world famous dove site, Monad Shoal. It provides cozy rooms with private balcony.

Despite the issues I mentioned, there were still a few things I liked about the resort. The location was peaceful and serene, providing a relaxing atmosphere that allowed for a quiet stay. I also appreciated that the property had beautiful landscaping, which helped create a pleasant environment. The staff, though not always consistent, were generally polite and helpful when needed. Additionally, the room itself was spacious and the bed was comfortable, which made for a good night’s sleep after a long day. While there were some drawbacks to my stay, these aspects of the property helped make the overall experience more tolerable.

It's a quaint little town enough to bring peace, relaxation and serenity. I like North beach a lot. Water is amazingly crystal blue clear! This is exactly what i was looking for. I had to ride in one of those motorbikes to get to North beach from where I stayed The locals are helpful and friendly, typical of the Filipino hospitality. The guy who took me to North beach referred me to the "market place" where i can buy cheaper food and as an alternative to the restaurants by the beach. I definitely enjoyed this place especially the beach.

It is a beautiful island filled with helpful people. Very close to beaches everywhere and a half days snorkling boat tour is offered to you constantly and very worth it. Snorkling with black tip sharks is super close. A lot of small shops and food places.

The island is good to relax & unwind especially that there are not much tourist yet compared to other beaches, we did island hopping & snorkling the 2nd day we wemt to Kalanggaman island., we also enjoyed the locall food in the narket. . The LGU's & the locals could do more effort to keep the sorroundings clean & green☺️

Spacious room for 2 people, decent breakfast and staff responded promptly to any requests / queries. Attractive, well maintained garden areas to look out on from the shaded terrace. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, and just a short walk to the beach areas. Would stay here again if visiting the lovely island of Malapascua again.

The location, staff and breakfast exceeded expectations. The location is great, it has a unique beach and sunset view on the island. The service was great, they lent us sheets and towels to stay one night on Kalanggaman Island (in addition to storing our things). The pancakes with fruit, the best I tried on the trip.

Amazing location, but, the service of the staff outstanding. There isn't much to do on the island apart from diving and relaxing and the team made you feel at home to not have to think. Thank you to all
