The treepee room is exceptionally good, very clean and cosy. The staff is super friendly and nice as well. They provide plenty of activities. We enjoyed the night tropical jungle tour the most, it was exceptionally well organized, interesting, full of information and very well guided.

This is a super unique place sitting directly on the water. It’s very peaceful and the staff is so warm, friendly, and caring. It’s gorgeous you can literally jump into the water from your bungalow! The room had every amenity you need and hot showers. There are activity books as well as restaurants and shops within walking distance. The staff is very accommodating for any activities and there is much to see in the area. It’s a very beautiful place!

The Brunet family have done a wonderful job creating a new oasis of calm and luxury in the middle of the jungle. The hotel is very peaceful as there are only 10 rooms and it is near the end of an unpaved road in a nature preserve. This means that we were able to hear and see howler monkeys and see many beautiful birds, including a toucan! The decor is simple but chic and very well suited to the tropical surroundings, and the beds are comfortable. The food at the restaurant is excellent, and the service is very friendly and professional. We loved our stay and cannot wait to return!

The place is stunning, you feel you are in the jungle but just blocks away from the main street. Ideal option for a quieter stay (not in the middle of bocas town) but walking distance to some beaches, restaurants, etc. The domes are really special - loved the circular window overlooking the jungle. Breakfast was exquisite!

An amazing place with such a variety of activities and landscapes that you will likely never get to know the whole area. Great place to relax on a deserted beach, eat fresh seafood, go snorkeling. I would recommend Playa Estrella, Isla Pajaros, Red Frog Beach, Hospital Point, Isla Bastimento as the top places. I would avoid staying directly in Bocas Town center because it can take you out a bit of the serene landscape with lots of cars and trucks during the day and into the early evening.

Hot in mid-August and dusty (due to a lot of road construction before laying pavement) in the main part of town (which is about 2 blocks by 7 blocks or so). No shortage of food options - restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Jumping off spot for assorted tours to other islands, etc. Plan on spending a fair amount of cash.

I think the town itself is tailored more for a younger party crowd. Away from town was more peaceful. We went to experience the available scuba diving, which is decent but can't compare to sites like Ambergris Key or Bonaire. Probably better for people who don't spend regular time at the beach; this would feel more "special" if we hadn't recently spent time in Nueva Gorgona which has a really spectacular beach. We really liked eating at JJ's Blended and at Pepe Chupepe's. The food was good and the waitstaff was very welcoming and attentive. Things are definitely laid back and we enjoyed eating at the restaurants along the water where we could also watch the boats.

There is road construction EVERYWHERE.
There is road construction EVERYWHERE. We had no problem with their shared taxi, which means you will have several people squeezed in with you, going more or less in the same direction, but with the construction, many times your cab will not be able to reach your destination. This is Mexico 40 years ago.
