This is a super unique place sitting directly on the water. It’s very peaceful and the staff is so warm, friendly, and caring. It’s gorgeous you can literally jump into the water from your bungalow! The room had every amenity you need and hot showers. There are activity books as well as restaurants and shops within walking distance. The staff is very accommodating for any activities and there is much to see in the area. It’s a very beautiful place!

The staff was outstanding! Everything was super clean. Breakfast was amazing and filling everything was homemade and fresh!! The dinners were the best dinners we had on bocas! The rooms were HUGE, shower was HUGE. I loved that they gave you towels for the beach! The pool was so relaxing. I loved how each room had its own little porch. I highly recommend staying here and would for sure stay again!!

The place is stunning, you feel you are in the jungle but just blocks away from the main street. Ideal option for a quieter stay (not in the middle of bocas town) but walking distance to some beaches, restaurants, etc. The domes are really special - loved the circular window overlooking the jungle. Breakfast was exquisite!

It is perched on the edge of the jungle and over looks the most impressive view of the ocean and bird island! The property itself is so unique - the pool, the surroundings, the nirvana of trees, birds, trails and stretches of untouched beaches - unbelievable! The staff are so friendly and helpful and the chef is incredible!

I had been there previously, but to another area where I walked around all the time. Here it seemed that the taxi was the way. I think it is a really great place to visit. Houses are right on the water and you look out and it is relaxing. We were there at a slower time. We went to one restaurant and there were only 2 other customers and we had to wait a very long time for the taxi they called. It is a simple flight from Panama City. Our host Angie arranged a tour of the chocolate farm of the indigenous people and that was very interesting and included a boat ride from Bocas Town to another island.

Bocas town is still a developing town, there are plenty of pot holes on the road/off road which also means there are not a lot of tourists visiting the town/island yet, so it is worth going now if you enjoy experiencing the raw experience.

A little more expensive than I thought it would be
it seems like there's places that the locals go and then there's places that the tourists go and the price difference is real
so be adventurous and go find local places

An amazing place with such a variety of activities and landscapes that you will likely never get to know the whole area. Great place to relax on a deserted beach, eat fresh seafood, go snorkeling. I would recommend Playa Estrella, Isla Pajaros, Red Frog Beach, Hospital Point, Isla Bastimento as the top places. I would avoid staying directly in Bocas Town center because it can take you out a bit of the serene landscape with lots of cars and trucks during the day and into the early evening.

Hot in mid-August and dusty (due to a lot of road construction before laying pavement) in the main part of town (which is about 2 blocks by 7 blocks or so). No shortage of food options - restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Jumping off spot for assorted tours to other islands, etc. Plan on spending a fair amount of cash.

This hotel is no longer Azul Bocas town. It has changed owners and changed its name. It is not a 4 star hotel. Closer to a run down 2 star. Badly run, not clean. Dirty floor. Broken curtains. Peeling wallpaper. No drinking water in the room. Staff pleasant but not helpful.
Ideal for nature lovers and adventurers. The owners are biologist, we went for a night walk, birds watching, kayaking and snorkeling. All inclusive, food excellent, served like in the best restaurant with bugatti cutlery. Very simple eco design. Very nice staff.
The location is amazing right on the water, the staff is very helpful. I booked 2 nights and for personal reasons I didn't make it to the first night and Michel considered me for the price. An amazing experience for the whole family!!
