Sandefjord is very much a working, functional port town with good marina facilities for leisure boaters. There are plenty of options to dine out and have a stroll around the harbour/port area, but it is not really big on tourism as such, which is probably not a bad thing. If you are driving, the links to the major routes are easy to follow, and of course you have the ferry port for travelling over to Sweden.

Very good location just five minutes away from Torp airport. Also bus are frequent if you are going to big shopping malls. Norwegians are friendly and nice also helpful to tourists like us if we want to go places and need to catch the bus My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Sandefjord. We went out of season with limited activities---a month or two earlier and i'm sure our thoughts would be different. So expensive to live not just in Sandefjord but in Norway. Same price as Oslo---thought it would be better value.StevenUnited Kingdom
