We stayed in Utrecht as an alternative to staying in Amsterdam, and we are so glad we did. The town is really beautiful, we walked several miles around the area to explore the beautiful neighborhoods. There is a beautiful canal area with restaurants, bars and shops nearby as well as an old town. I wanted to see Utrecht as it looks now. This trip was a personal one as I was there one other time. It is easy to get around. Food is available and we tried different places. Not disappointed at any meals we had.

The canals, trees coming into bud, friendly City folk, good coffee and excellent transport links. The historic buildings and peaceful walk along the canal which loops around the City were very relaxing. We enjoyed the City Museum and the cafe in the Dom (Cathedral) is a tranquil place to be. The staff were exceptional - helpful and friendly. This is a nice and funky hotel at a decent price that suited all my needs. Will definitely return.
