A lovely city with plenty to see and do. Everyone very friendly and welcoming. I walked along the canals and was fascinated by the canal side markets on the Saturday. A great experience. So many cafes and restaurants for every taste. I will definitely be going again. A gem of a city.

We loved Leiden, probably our favorite Dutch town.
We loved Leiden, probably our favorite Dutch town. Very charming and walkable, the Botanical Garden was excellent, lots of canals, nice park on the perimeter. We visited the first week of September and it was not crowded. Wonderful transportation system, so Leiden was a great base for visiting other nearby places like Delft, Rotterdam and Den Haag.

Leiden is a beautiful city, criss-crossed by bridges and water. A river trip is an excellent introduction. A lively place because of its University students and the friendliness of Leiden people, there are plenty of places to enjoy varied cooking from around the world.

We visit Leiden every year and every time we discover something new. Beautiful city with plenty of history. A great choice of cafes and restaurants. Lots of shops for those who love shopping but also small independent and concept shops. Plenty to do including boat trips through the beautiful city.
The Staff were very friendly and helpful. There was easy and secure parking on site which we liked.
Breakfast was of a high standard with a good selection of foods to choose from.
The Hotel was close to the centre of Leiden and also the station. We recommend that if you wish to travel to Amsterdam you use the train as it is an easier option than driving and having to park.
Nice hotel in a traditional building, a lot of daylight came through the room so it made it very pleasant. There is a fridge and a small table in the room so we could use them during our stay. The hotel was not too far from Leiden train station too by walking.
Convenient location in Leiden city center, close to railway station. Very helpful hotel owners and staff. Clean room, not too big, but equipped with everything you might need for a short or a longer stay.
The location is the best in terms of convenience as the hotel was just adjacent to Leiden Central train station.
In terms of cleanliness, room was fairly clean.
