The area around the place was nice, super close to the mall, and to a few nice restaurants.
It smelled quite nice in the hotel
the blinders in the room were really strong and created a good "night" effect

Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Martha in Food and Beverage really made my stay (about two weeks) very special. I felt like I was in her house as a special guest. Martha made all the difference during my long term stay it change from institutional to warm and gracious hospitality. She’s a great ambassador for this property. I also enjoyed the breakfast selections-I would absolutely opt for the breakfast included option. HEB, a Texas based grocery store is located just behind this property and is a wonderful resource. The property is also very close to Plaza San Luis and The Park-great shopping destinations. Lots of restaurants around as well. Not a very walkable area but with cars, taxis and Ubers you’ll be just fine. Added bonus is the small gym on the property. My housekeeping attendant was also lovely (tall, slender, with glasses)-and I can’t remember her name! Interactive, professional, great at her job, also a real asset to this property.
