I spent more than 2 weeks in Mexico with my partner and friends and this was definitely the best accommodation.
The rooms are very spacious and nicely designed. I really liked the garden and swimming pool area (very relaxing!).
Casa Cactus Buenavista has a great location to explore places like Bacalar, Los Rapidos, Mahahual.
Regarding food, the host can prepare it for you if you order in advance (it was so delicious!!!). You can also visit a local restaurant located few minutes on foot from Casa Cactus (there is also an option to have it delivered). Close to Casa Cactus there are also local shops with food, honey, souvenirs.
Wifi signal was strong and available everywhere (not only in rooms).
Jay and Sebastian are fantastic hosts. They took care of us so well. I felt like at home :)
I truly recommend Casa Cactus Buenavista and will definitely go back when I am in Mexico again.

If you are looking for a charming, laid-back, calm, down-to-earth and comfortable accommodation and do not need any infrastructure in walking distance - this is your hotel.
If you are looking for a standard 4-star hotel in the middle of a town this is not for you. We would go there again.

Beautiful villa in a lovely location!
The staff is very sweet and helpful. We could swim in the lake on a private place. We where just with 2 people but we can imagine it would be lovely to come with a few more people and enjoy the jacuzzi a good bbq. It’s soooo nice!
